is Part II for 2013 then?
was thinking about Big Sean today. Don't know him at all outside Cruel Summer. But he killed it there. I'm gonna look into him some more. Still need LongLiveA$AP. That new Jeezy mixtape sounds appealing. |
Big Sean has a lot of potential. didn't like his album but Detroit was one of my fav tapes last year.
LongLiveA$AP = fucking great. that Jeezy tape was really disappointing. deleted it after one listen. |

ok so LongLiveA$AP is insane. The beats on this record are just mindblowing to me. I can't believe it's only Jan and 2013 has a record this good.
|
yeah this album is pure joy. filled with great moments. makes my day every time i listen to it. :) i really like it that much.

for real dood. I love this album so much. I really didn't expect it to be THIS good. ,,. bumping this tonight ...while playing NBA Jam. :) |
so soon!! i can't wait. |
^nice.
DrEugene turned me on to C-REEZY's album Beast. It's good. |
louder where you at? Really wanna talk about LongLiveA$AP.
Danny Brown's verse got me listening to XXX again. I do think it's good. But damn "DNA" is so amazing. I wanna hear him do a whole album at that level. |

Fucking hell. Backstreet boys on some Nsync shit - boyzone cockfest. Get britney up in ere'. OR will.i.am/dick.he.is on the huzzarrr remixer dial. bust some fucking disco balls. Neptune can come out of retirement and produce something to pay for his fucking weave. Reet, i'm back off to the SY board.... |
@Diesel: JT's albums are solid as hell.

that and Earl's album intrigue me so much. i listen to Chum all the time. Rocky isn't the best lyricist but he definitely knows how to make good music. |

That's a good album, but I'm sorry the new single is nothing more than an average RnB song. The submarine sample is ingenious but the song in general is just OK. |
i enjoyed the single even though it's nothing special, i agree. but i still have high hopes for the album.
gotta wait for the 2nd single and see if it lives up to Cry Me a River and My Love, then we'll have a better indication. |
1 Train!! woo.
Krit had the best verse imo but they all killed it. |
@louder: I haven't been here a lot lately, did you ever do a top-whatever hip hop albums of 2012?

I just did not get the m.A.A.d City hype. Good album, sure. But everyone I know who didn't list Swans as their #1 picked Kendrick, and I think Odd Future, JJDoom, Schoolboy Q, and killer mike all had better stuff to offer in 2012. Then again, I don't get out much. |
woah Kendrick's record was leaps and bounds better than JJDOOM. And I liked the JJDOOM.
|
yeah.. sorry but that OF tape kinda sucked imo.
|
just listening to to that Robb Bank$ tape from 2012 for the first time. it's really good.
|
yo
i fail to find anything akin to the futuristic beats and samples of Cannibal Ox (or some Detron..). Anything old/new for me?? |

kthx, will check this out readily!
|
mmmm these two didn't do it for me, unfortunately.
Flying Lotus, i kind of new, sounds random to me (good ideas but lacks some flow) and Black up didn't click either. THAT Canibla Ox LP does sound like one of a kind, i've never found anything even REMOTELY as good is it, and the same genre, loopwise. thx anyway! |

new Deltron coming this year! So I heard the new JT single... not feeling it. |
The Knife's new single really reminds me of.. Sonic Youth. oddly.
|
yo NR, check out this new duo "The Underachievers"
i think you'll dig them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=205K9Pim2oE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HJv_I2dyXXU their mixtape just leaked yesterday btw |

What what what?!?! New Deltron? Are you goddamn kidding me? My day has officially stopped being a morbidly depressing waste of time. |

Compared to what now? S Club 7 Westlife Kanye prick monger? Cocksuckers United? Solid like a week old turd? Takes a bit of effort but easily destroyed in the end and thankfully easily forgettable. |
