so word has that my friends missed the chance to buy tix when i told them, and now it's just lil' max from sardinia / italy going to get in. it's perfectly fine for me to get there and hang out and shit, no problemo. but i guess this would be a cool chance to meet some forumite, and hang around together...

if anyone's down let me know here or somewhere else?

he must have bought them off the net and had them do the next day fedex maybe. my two tickets came to around $40 with the service charge and the regular shipping costs.

ok anyone whos been to one of these before, if you hang outside by the fence can you still see/hear the show? Union Park is not that big, right?

you're right on the fact that union park isnt that big, at least compared to other parks in the city. so my fair guess is you'll be able to easily hear the show, but im not going to guarantee thatll youll see it very well if at all.

I just found out that the park is right behind the corner where my uncle lives. killer.

I'm flying the day before so I should be on time (for Slint). 9PM seems late for the SY set (see the pitchfork website), isn't the park closing around 10? or it is 11?

I was wondering, the ticket says that the show ends at 10pm and sonic youth starts at 9, There's no way they can play ddn in one hour and i'm also hoping for an encore. Does anyone know if the fest has to be over by 10 pm due to noise laws?

There are two large stages, the "Connector" and "Aluminum" stages. Slint is on the Connector Stage and GZA and Sonic Youth are on the other one. It's the one diagonal to the crowd. If you're going in the gate nearest the train stop (Lake/Ashland), walk straight ahead and take a soft left. Can't miss it. I'm the bald dude with LE sneakers. Can't miss me.

Have they been playing only RR songs for the encores? It would be nice to see Tom Violence or Catholic Block finishing up the show. Either way I am not going to complain...I was just wondering.

yea it's basically only been RR songs, i remember seeing that they did Bull in the Heather in one of the encores so far. and that 100% and Bull were on the Primavera setlist but time was crunched (im guessing) so they didnt end up playing either.
