83-89.

This only makes sense to you poll starter but i got to know their records inbetween those years.

altho i love contraflow and sparta et all, i have to go with the early years.

i think there should have been separate options for 77-79 and 80-83. the latter would get my vote.

i thought about doing that but i thought there weren't enough releases for the 77-79 period for it to be worthwhile

tough cal as there are classic fall in every bracket. i voted for 83-89 only because hex and perverted were released then. i think the first option should be from 77 to 84 and start the next era with nations saving grace... but anyhoo. why restrict it to one era. hex and perverted are my favourite fall albums but in a very close third is fall heads roll and kurious oranj....

are the fall back in vogue at the mo, thats all we seem to talk/argue about here nowadays.......

yeah they are basically the new nirvana/dinosaur jr/mudhoney/etc...

It would be nice not to see the following bands mentioned for one day at least:

Boredoms

Pavement

add the fall to that list

I picked the 77-82 option but I really liked the Brix era too. I think that from 1990 onwards I started to find their records a bit weaker.

and pixies, the ex, the stooges, cat power, acid mothers temple....

if we made a list of 20 bands that wouldn't get posted about for just 24 hours then there would hardly be any posts that day.

maybe not an awful lot a la dinosaur jr, but not less than fugazi i think.
i originally had lightning bolt added as well, but they seem to have gone somewhat out of fashion lately.

I'm surprised that, say,The Velvet Underground don't get more mentioned than Bob Dylan.
