Warm,isn't it?

This is the warmest winter i spent in London. Is it just me or it feels like a very tolerable autumn this winter?I have the window open all the time and i rarely wear more than a shirt.Should i insert a smiley after this post? No.

Savage Clone 02.04.2007 06:24 PM

Current temp where I am:

-3.3 F/-19.6 C

It was unusually warm until this past week.
Super cold now. Hence my adopting the "sniper" look in the pic thread.

Danny Himself 02.04.2007 06:28 PM

Strangely sunny in the days, but it's fucking cold at night. It's sad because all the plants and animals have come out early only to die off in the frost.

noumenal 02.04.2007 06:30 PM

When I was in Rochester it was about 10 degrees F, but here, I walk about in short sleeves.

I think it's been a mild winter overall, though. Everywhere, as far as I know.

Phlegmscope 02.04.2007 06:35 PM

the beginning of winter here was exceptionally warm. Where I live, there's been snow only for a few weeks now. Suddenly it just got really cold and tons of snow came down, all at once. and it's been like that ever since.
I was hoping a warm and snowless winter, but no.
don't give me any of that crap about me being lucky for having snow at all during wintertime.

krastian 02.05.2007 12:31 AM

Yeah, I saw something on the Weather Channel saying that both the northeastern part of the US and most of Europe has been unseasonably warm this winter......we haven't had jack for snow.

Neverstop 02.05.2007 01:12 AM

Days are warm and sunny and the nights are cold.. life in the desert ..

jon boy 02.05.2007 04:37 AM

its crazy warm here. i was walking around without my coat for ages yesterday which is unthinkable for february in england.

Toilet & Bowels 02.05.2007 07:08 AM

yeah, there are insects flying around too which shouldn't be the case at this time of year. WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE.

king_buzzo 02.05.2007 07:33 AM

it was awesome yesterday, sun and almost no wind. but yeah its cold like hell now.

fishmonkey 02.05.2007 08:07 AM

haha, this past summer it went up to 45 in Canada. It was absolutely insane that day and it was record breaking. I'm sure you have that a lot more often though. Nobody went outside that day because we're not used to it

ALIEN ANAL 02.05.2007 08:41 AM

haha yeh, all last week was like that. i went to a funeral in that heat

Massenvernichtungswaffen 02.05.2007 09:18 AM

the end is near? sweet.

ha, actually we got more snow here than usual this year. It started as a rather green winter, but now it's frosty as old hell.

It's been fucking horrendous in the late evenings/ early mornings here. You fucking London-ites don't know you're born.

Danny Himself 02.05.2007 03:44 PM

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 02.05.2007 04:00 PM

it's sub zero temperatures here with the wind.

!@#$%! 02.05.2007 07:34 PM

James Blonde 02.06.2007 02:48 AM

It was warmest winter here until mid January, and now James Blonde finds himself in the middle of -15C, luckily not every day.

Phlegmscope 02.08.2007 01:47 PM

Yesterday morning the temperature was around -22 °F. That's just fucking offending. Luckily the forecast says it's getting a bit warmer.

My least favorite aspect of the cold is the unpleasant way in which it freezes the mucous in your nasal membranes, causing you to feel as though you have an unsightly strand of snot hanging out of your nose at all times. No fun, that.

On some perverse level I enjoy that.

Savage Clone 02.08.2007 02:31 PM

Major coldness is kind of badass.
On a few levels I prefer it to heat/humidity.

Phlegmscope 02.08.2007 02:32 PM

Cold keeps the insects away. that's a plus.

James Blonde 02.09.2007 10:55 AM

Tipsy nose + harsh cold outside = makes James Blonde's walking at streets much funnier.
