"distraction" here in italy is the worst example of trash tv in years.

LifeDistortion 02.13.2007 12:31 PM

My family is addicted to Jepoardy, we watch it pratically every night during dinner. We always compete to see who knows the answers, but its just an exhibition not a competition, there is no wagering between family members on Jepoardy.

Hip Priest 02.13.2007 02:00 PM

Blankety Blank (with Terry, of course)
Whose Line is it Anyway?
Going for Gold
It's a Knockout
The Crystal Maze (with Ed Tudor Pole)

king_buzzo 02.14.2007 04:02 AM

sonicl 02.14.2007 04:20 AM

My nephew is mad for Deal Or No Deal. I watched part of it once, but I didn't understand what was supposed to be going on.

Hip Priest 02.14.2007 04:21 AM

Don't like Noel Edmonds.

sonicl 02.14.2007 04:26 AM

He'll always be a TV presenter for kids. Swap Shop was right for him, but everything since has just been attempting to redo Swap Shop for adults.

jon boy 02.14.2007 04:32 AM

i did used to watch wipe out but would always turn off when contestants where asked to push bobs button.

foxforce5 02.14.2007 07:51 AM

Jeopardy!

Iain 02.14.2007 07:57 AM

Daddylikes 02.14.2007 08:01 AM

Jeopardy! (of course!)

The Lung 02.14.2007 11:11 AM

Supermarket Sweep. I think it would be better if they changed it so you had to urinate on as much food as you possibly could in the time allowed and you get extra cash for pissing on Dale Winton's face.

Iain 02.14.2007 11:14 AM

Ahhum...did no one hear me? I'll say it again:

I hate to be the immature one here, but does that unidentifiable blue object in front of the cow's mouth not look slightly phallic? What show is that?

sonic sphere 02.14.2007 11:39 AM

bullseye-a quiz with darts-one of my favourites

His name is 'Bully', and he's the mascot of 'Bullseye'. He's clinging onto a dart for dear life.

'Bullseye' was a darts-based quiz. Every week, several contestants would win the 'BFH' (bus fare home') whilst one lucky pair would instead go on to fail miserably in the final round, narrowly missing out on winning a caravan.

noumenal 02.14.2007 11:52 AM

Some of this stuff has to be on Youtube.

For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv4IAKakHfA

Iain 02.14.2007 12:10 PM

Yes, the aforementioned 'blue thing' is the end of a dart. Thanks for the youtube link. It actually still runs on some obscure digital channels now and again. I saw it the other day and it's still ace. The big prize was always great because it was either a car, a caravan or a speedboat which was next to useless for 90% of the contestants.

I think the best game show the states had for kids was Double Dare, and even then its only appeal was that you got to rejoice in the humiliation of the contestants being slimed.

We don't like to get too sophisticated with our entertainment. Stirs up trouble.

Hip Priest 02.14.2007 12:43 PM

We had a kid's show called 'Runaround', where Mike Reed would shout at children for getting the answers wrong.

LifeDistortion 02.14.2007 12:45 PM

And "Double Dare" of course, obstacle challenge!

Hip Priest 02.14.2007 12:45 PM

Don't know that one.

There was Knightmare.

I think I saw that when I was in your 'hood way back when. Isn't it sort of a virtual reality game? Now that looked bitchin'.

Sheriff Rhys Chatham 02.14.2007 01:22 PM
