Have you ever involuntarily offended a dwarf?

Poll on the way.

sonicl 02.13.2007 09:22 AM

Ironically enough (and this is true), I have.

A few months ago I went to the pub with a mate and there were two "people of restricted growth" there puffing away on fags. I had no intention of being offensive, but somehow the filter between my brain and my mouth failed, and I heard myself saying, "They'll stunt your growth, you know".

Did you know that no matter how much you wish, the ground simply will not open up and swallow you.

i was not so much offended as terrified by a dwarf in LA who was dressed as chucky from the childs play movies. he tugged at my jeans and when i turned to see who it was pretended to stab me with a fake knife. saw him in a bar later that night and bought him a beer so all was well in the end.

porkmarras 02.13.2007 09:30 AM

I have accidentally given a dwarf who insisted on doing acrobatics on my table in a pub a funny look and he misinterpreted it as me making funny of his looks but the whole thing panned out for the best and i apologized to him.Dwarves are cool but a tad too oversensitive.

jon boy 02.13.2007 09:37 AM

it was funny afterwards but there were a few seconds of pure terror on my part. he was sat in a bar afterwards all still dressed up. he seemed quite popular with the ladies as well.

They like the Bad Boys.

Tokolosh 02.13.2007 09:41 AM

I always tell them how cute they are, by bending down and pinching their cheeks.

Welcome to the board, by the way. :)

screamingskull 02.13.2007 11:39 AM

ive never even met a dwarf.

Glice 02.13.2007 01:44 PM

I know a dwarf. I used to teach at a special needs class that he was in. Geoff was his name.

He wasn't big, and he wasn't clever.

Glice 02.13.2007 01:46 PM

And, to compound that joke, I was actually told it by Ange, a dwarf friend of mine, who has a habit of saying, "Fuck off, can't you tell I'm too weird to argue with?" which is made all the scarier by her squeaky voice. Funny though.

I have officially confused the PC police into non-existence.

I've left the pedal thread alone thus far. Please never attempt to incur my wrath by mentioning pedals to me directly ever again.

To re-iterate: Pedals are not a suitable subject for discussion under any circumstances. Thanks.

king_buzzo 02.13.2007 02:58 PM
