I have tickets to see this wonderful lady at The Forum this May. Anybody else? I want to know what boardies to look out for.

The Forum's an awfully echo-ey place when there's only one person in the audience. But on the plus side, the service at the bar isn't too bad.

It's pretty easy to find once you get out of the tube station.It's not far from there at all.

oh, right, well Deerhoof are playing the day after at the Koko club (i know where that is).
I might come to Cat Power, but she was kinda dissapointing in November.

She has a new backing band this time.

Holy cow! This cover and her recent Venus Zine cover are pretty wack. She just doesn't look like herself (and I know how she really looks because I've seen other, less seemingly photo-shopped/glamo photos of her online and in 'zines, that's why).

But her recent Magnet cover is nice.

The great Judah Bauer from the Blues Explosion is in the backing band.

Okay, I promised you pictures. These are the best- the rest were pretty much exactly the same or from weird angles or something. She kept moving around.

He and his sister opened for Chan.

So yeah, all in all it was a good show. Chan's organ player looked like a complete twat, though. He was one of those bastards with their hair sticking out randomly in all different places, like 4 different emo hairstyles in one. Judah Bauer played well, though there wasn't much for him to do, because they just played all the slow songs off The Greatest, and a cover of 'Crazy' by Gnarls Barkley.

A split second after I took the third she pulled a big grin and put her thumb up, but I was too late before she moved away to dance.
