I'm excited for it.
but my expectations aren' too high. It's kind of overshadowed though by the many other big movies this summer like Harry Potter, Transformers, and Spiderman 3

It's gonna suck AND blow (this is coming from a lifelong Simpson's fan). I can't watch the newer episodes.

The new episodes suck ass because the writers have been busing using up all their good stuff on THE MOVIE. It will rule. I am sure. If not, I'll eat my pride.

The simpsons movie is going to kick ass. When they made it Matt Greoning told them he would refuse to be a part if they didn't hire back most of the original writing team. He also said if it wasn't good, he wouldn't let it be made

I like new Simpsons. I like it as much as old Simpsons. I'm worried about the movie though. I might not watch it. I suspect it won't live up to what I want it to be. Let's hope the reasonable expectations are thwarted and the movie is shit-hot.

cant wait. love simpsons and thenew episodes arent great but at least they are still trying. i fear the movie will end the simpsons. there was a horrid rumour circulated by groening that the family dies at the end of the movie... im sure it was a joke but in a way i hope its not!

I haven't really given it much thought... I hope it'll be good, but I WAY prefer the old simpsons to the new ones, so I don't think it'll be as enjoyable as I want it to.

The full-length trailer is pretty week, though.
Yet, I have faith! I still dig the simpsons, and doubt I could possibly be let down.

A new trailer is going to air tonight during the new The Simpsons, which starts in about 6 minutes.

I can't wait for the Simpsons movie!!! I heard that they might make two of them, depending on the cast's contracts.

i like new and old simpsons about the same...a lot of the newer simpsons stuff seems like rehash, but some of it is better than the older stuff, so it's like a trade-off...older=more consistent, newer=better high points....i think the movie will be great....plus grindhouse comes out this year, sweet...

What on earth could the movie be about? The Simpsons have done EVERYTHING already. Thats why the new episodes are so shit.

not sure i will actually go and see it at the cinema. hope that its ok and not what everyone expects.

I have faith that the movie will be pretty damn good. It'll be like the South Park movie only much better, hopefully it won't be some damn musical but just a movie with something funny every five seconds for 90 minutes. A medicore "Simpsons" episode is still funnier then most live action shit-coms and other animated shows that wouldn't exist without "The Simpsons". The trailer looked damn funny and we don't even know what the main storyline is yet.

I've been watching the trailors for this movie and reading up on the film as well, and I have to say, I'm pretty pumped for this film. The movie was written by some of the BEST writers this show has ever had, Al Jean, Mike Reiss, David Cohen, JOHN SWARTZWELDER, Mike Scully, John Vitti, Ian Maxtone-Graham, David Mirken, George Meyer, James L Brooks and the legendary Matt Groening!!!!! As well as being directed by the genius David Silverman!!!!!!!!!

These were all fantastic writers/director from the Golden Years of the Simpsons tv series. The only writers I feel they are missing are Conan Obrian, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein (three of the best writers in tv history).

Also, the animation is big and beautiful. I guess the SImpsons animators finally got a clue form Futurama's animators.

I was a little shocked when I saw the trailer. It didn't look "the same," but then I realized that they tweak the aesthetic nearly every season, and it takes about 5 minutes to get used to. I have faith.

So much so, that I am willing to pay full price and will do so on the day it comes out, something I haven't done in years. (I usually just go to the dollar theater, but, honestly, I cannot wait.)

i hope that at least is like one of the old episodes, only longer. at least.

the new episodes, some are unwatchable, but most of them have an abyssmal story going with a bunch of gags and one liners that are hilarious. the old ones had amazing stories, humour, commentary, gags and one liners.

That is really sad, concidering I didn't consider any of those worth going to.

every simpsons episode has a part or two that makes me laugh.. but the older ones had laughs times a thousand.. yeah.

I'll go and see it, but am not expecting much from it. I can't imagine it to be anywhere near as riotous as the South Park Movie.

ah - i got it for christmas it wasn't anywhere near as bad as i was expecting. In my mind the simpson is one of the finest shows that's ever been on tv but it's really been overmilked and its eroded somewhat since that sometimes i forget how good the older episodes are. It's a shame so i didnt go into this film with much expection..... Exposure to barts penis is the most shocking things ive ever seen in a movie too. but yeah, it wasnt bad.
