I heard it actually. It sounded like a shitty copy of that shitty Modest Mouse that sounded like a Modest Mouse cover band from the last album, albeit with some guitar jangle thanks to the needs-to-retire-already Smiths guitarist. Big whoop. Who gives a fuck? Another band that made an awesome album LONG ago, made a couple more cool albums, and now just is in for the money. Man, it pretty fuckin good!!! Fuck this band.

Oh, and I think the reason they suck now is because the singer quit drinking and became Johnny Marr's boyfriend. Yeah. Yeah, that's the story from Pitchfork so it's GOTTA BE TRUE!!!!!!!!! Fuck this band, listen to Black Wolf Swans ESP, NOISEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IS MUZAKKKKKKKKK.

I've never even heard Modest Mouse and I don't like them. Silly name for a band. Lords of Apocalypse. Now THAT'S a name for a band.

I've heard the new album and "eh". It seems they are done "progressing" and doing interesting things. Issac is now content to just write pop songs, good for him.

the only reason im interested in this album is cuz of johnny marr....so how is his guitar playing on this one?

From just a couple of listens, its not really all that apparent to tell you the truth.

They represent everything that i find wrong with guitar music and the world in general.

I heard the new song the other week on the radio, didn't really do it for me. We'll see though.

After initial extreme hostility, im warming to Teeth Like Gods Shoeshine from The Lonesome Crowded West, but apart from that i dont like it when he isnt either shouting or singing softly.

I like Modest Mouse. In fact, The Moon and Antarctica is one of my favorite albums. I don't like the new one too much though. Also, they're not so good live.

the first time i heard it, i thought it was really good, then the second time, the first couple of songs seemed good and the rest boring as hell. now i'm so bored with it, i don't think i'll ever listen to it again.

and i liked good news, so that's not saying much.

and the marr thing, it's just a cred buster since he doesn't actually play anything stand out.
