Sonic Youth in Portugal
SY have just been said to be confirmed to play a festival in Lisbon in the 4th of July. This appeared on a portuguese news site, but they haven't been confirmed by the promotor yet. You can read the news here http://bestrock.clix.pt/news/music_n...y.asp?id=33863 (in Portuguese).
This is a trustworthy news site so the show is probably confirmed. :) So, does anyone plan to go to this concert? |
Either SY are going to be spending most of the summer in Europe, or they're going to be picking up one hell of a lot of frequent flyer miles!

it will be a nice summery tour for them, they can chill out, get a tan, eat exotic food, try and speak all the different languages and in the evenings rock out till the fans explode!

ha ha not exactly. took a class someyears ago but had to drop out because of overload; & also took a course in brazilian lit in grad school (read translations mostly but read in portuguese w/ a dictionary). i speak spanish actually so it's sort of easy to figure out for me-- english is 2nd lang. that, & jico keeps my vocabulary refreshed :D |

So, it's confirmed they are coming on august to play at Paredes de Coura. I just can't help to feel a bit sad, on the main page one can see that it's one of the few dates that they're not going to play DN...
