Is Six Feet Under the Best Show Ever?

I think it is the best. Well written.

Norma J 03.27.2007 02:53 AM

It's one of.

CHOUT 03.27.2007 03:01 AM

I love it...used to watch it all the time.

jon boy 03.27.2007 04:18 AM

its not the best but its not bad at all.

i dont think there is one show in particular that is the best but many that are equally as good.

bring back button moon!

Toilet & Bowels 03.27.2007 06:33 AM

the correct answer is twin peaks, twin peaks is the best tv show ever.

jon boy 03.27.2007 06:35 AM

yes thats very true toilet.

Toilet & Bowels 03.27.2007 06:53 AM

yes, and someone has uploaded both series on to youtube, and i expect it won't be long before it gets removed

jon boy 03.27.2007 07:24 AM

yes i would imagine it will, although there are many things on youtube that are still there despite the fact that i thought they would be taken down and also notes to say they had been, only to return a day later.

sarramkrop 03.27.2007 07:29 AM

Either Twin Peaks or Strangers With Candy (even though it was never shown in the UK).

It wasn't a tv series but Jam was probably the most inspirational comedy tv program that i've ever seen in my entire existence.

jon boy 03.27.2007 07:35 AM

every single episode of oz is on youtube.

Season 2 April 3rd!

I've only seen season 1 so far. I'm very excited for season 2. I'm going to watch it all during spring break.

As for current TV shows (since I can't really vouch for many older ones):

Lost
Heroes
30 Rock

screamingskull 03.27.2007 09:11 AM

me and h8kurdt used to have hour long conversations over msn about six feet under and how wonderful it is. I have all the box sets, its the only TV show that ive actually bothered to buy on dvd. I really love Claire Fisher from Six Feet Under, (not in a lesbian way) i know she is a TV character but i really look up to her.

Toilet & Bowels 03.27.2007 09:13 AM

really? i can't stand her (i love the program) i think her and her friends embody everything that is bad about art students

!@#$%! 03.27.2007 09:13 AM

i've never seen 6 feet under-- im curious now to check out the dvds

for those of you looking for the best tv shows in recent years i highly recommend

-the wire
-the west wing seasons 1-3 (4 is crap)

but a warning: they deal with grownup issues, so they may not be for everyone here.

i like her just because she is a photography student and so am i, and she has strange art school friends as do i. She has a much more interesting life than i do though, not that i would trade.
I like the show's view of art students, it may not be as true in the uk, but from my experience of art schools its just an exaggeration of the truth.

Toilet & Bowels 03.27.2007 09:46 AM

yeah, i'm an art student too, and that's why it annoys me, i have to deal with people like that in real life already i don't need to watch them on tv too.

atsonicpark 03.27.2007 09:54 AM

i'm at st martins in london, it's awful, where do you go?
yeah it's funny, and to be fair claire isn't half as bad as some of her friends, like that guy russell (i think that's his name, the nutty one she went out with)

You mean, as in, the best show in the universe ever, now and for all time? Yes.

I'm finishing up a Diploma in photography at Sutton College in B'ham at the moment, in September i'm going to UCE, its not great, but i need to be able to stay at home whilst im studying.

I thought you were a lot older?, how old are you?

Russell was great whilst they were friends and when they were dating, but after they broke up he was a dorky loser. I always liked Billy.

Toilet & Bowels 03.27.2007 10:10 AM

billy was even more insane!

i'm 27, i didn't go to university at the normal age.

screamingskull 03.27.2007 10:14 AM

Billy was great!, apart from when he went mad and attacked Brenda (a couple times). Gabriel was the worst boyfriend she had.

Rob Instigator 03.27.2007 12:17 PM

Six Feet Under may be the very best SOAP OPERA ever made

I cannot watch more than 30 minutes. it is tedious harping on everything horrible that can happen and does happen in life, but it all happens to these 6 people that live and work in a funeral home.

boring as all fuck.

makes my girlfriend cry though. she loves it no end.

Bunbury 03.27.2007 01:53 PM

it was my favorite tv show...

Alan Ball is a genius and ended it perfectly.

anyone who didnt cry a little during that finale is dead inside.

Rob Instigator 03.27.2007 02:06 PM

I cried when Cheers ended.

the last episodes of buffy and angel, respectively, were quite emotional for me. especially angel i supposed because the show died an untimely death.

Пятхъдесят Шест 03.27.2007 02:24 PM

No.

I watched the first two seasons or so, but it all began to feel a bit like a day time soap opera only with much better acting. This is not to say it wasn't good; it was just easy (for me anyway) to get bored with it.

Now, Curb Your Enthusiasm on the other hand...

jakeonguitar 03.27.2007 02:28 PM

As for shows currently on air, I'm pretty much obsessed with the Office.

Spiritual Amnesia 03.27.2007 02:30 PM

yes, Six Feet Under is definitely the best show ever !!!

The English one is definitely better, but the American one is great. Steve Carell (as Michael Scott) and Rainn Wilson (as Dwight Schrute) make it very witty and funny.

It's very, very good, but no. The original is better. Jenna Fischer's cans almost give the American version the edge, but not quite.

!@#$%! 03.27.2007 02:41 PM

can they say "you're a cock" on american tv??

guess i'll find out later cos IT'S TACO TIME :D

I watched season 1 of the British version. To be honest, I didn't like it as much. I think the situations in the British one were more awkward but not as funny. Maybe I just didn't like their delivery, or whatever. I like the American one more, but I think they are both great.

Depends on your preference. I'm a fan of British comedy, whereas British comedy and American comedy are quite different on television.

Is it just me or does the SIX FEET UNDER theme song sound exactly and I MEAN exactly like the music for SIM CITY the videogame?
