Batman: The Dark Knight
It doesn't come out until next summer, but I'm pumped anyway. They have been doing some cool promo stuff. I thought I'd share.
www.TheDarkKnight.com When you click that picture you are taken to: www.IBelieveInHarveyDent.com You were able to click on that picture, and get a Joker-vandalized version of the picture at www.ibelieveinharveydenttoo.com but it is no longer working, or they took it down. You could also do something on that site (I forgot what exactly), and you would see this picture of Heath Ledger as the Joker: ![]() Could be some scary crap if you ask me. I'm exicted. |

On this site, highlight + scroll down. EDIT: By the way, I am excited too. I was skeptical about the whole Heath Ledger/Joker thing, but not really anymore. |
Does Harvey Dent become "Two-Face" in the movie, or will they just introudce the character of Harvey Dent? If Two-Face and Joker are going to both be in the film (again, always skeptical of the mulit-villian idea) I'll be skeptical, no need to bloat the film with too many characters/villians, see what happened to "Spider-Man 3"? Too many villians also is what killed the other "Batman" films,
|
er lame, i already posted the joker image! :P
im very excited for this, im a comic book fan, and batman fan and im on the message boards everyday reading about it. |

Is there a clip?
|
yeh, its pretty fun, to bad ill never be first to figure something out, with 1000 nerds on the job
|
I loved the first film in the series, Begins, much more than I ever loved the earlier Batman films.
The only weak point is the Rachel Dawes character. They need to make up their fucking minds about her purpose in the series, and her feelings for Bruce. Either that or they need to kill her off. |
Katie Holmes will not be playing Rachel Dawes in the next movie. It will be Maggie Gyllenhaal.
|
im so glad katie is out, maggie is much better
|
i can't wait for this to come out!

I'm not into cowboys, so much as I am into Jake, Heath, and Christian. |

I don't have the energy, but you have mention cowboys before. But anyways, Christian is okay, but not my type. Jake and Heath Definitely. |
christian is ok?!?!? oh my
|
Hell yes.
|
love Batman.
am probably gonna love this movie too, although i did get a little too excited about spiderman 3 only to be very let down. |
nothing better than batman
the animated series |
Who'll be the Boy Wonder?
|
Christ O'Donnell is going to reprise his role. :p
|
haha noooooooo
dont even mention those films!! |
Man, you need to Chill Out.
Those movies were Cool, Like Winter Time In Gotham. |
I've never been a fan of DC Comics. it's always been about Marvel Comics for me. irregardless, Frank Miller is a genius and The Dark Knight was one of the greatest graphic novels ever.
Batman deserves a darker side than just POW!-KKKRAACK!-BAM!!!'ing it with the Boy Blunder.....I hope this movie does the Dark Knight story justice. |

Katie Holmes wasn't the problem... the character was. Holmes made the character likeable enough... I just don't get what the writers were thinking with her actions in the fucking script. First she doesn't want to be with Bruce because she thinks he's a frivolous party boy... then when she finds out he's Batman she doesn't want to be with him because he wasn't the Bruce she used to know. Make up your fucking mind bitch. I tell ya, if they play this fucking "will they, won't they" game with the characters for the rest of the series, I'm gonna puke. Just kill her, or make her his gal pal or something. |
They should cut out the love intrest entirely, Bruce Wayne is too much of a tortured soul to be dating anyways.

first batman movie in 5 seconds:

Exactly. |

My feeling is that it will do the story justice (just like the first one did) and Christopher Nolan is directing again. He's also credited as primary screenwriter this time. With the title, one would expect that it goes even deeper into Batman's darker side. In Miller's Dark Knight graphic novel, I think (read it in the '90s), Batman lets a criminal (was it The Joker? can't remember) hanging onto the ledge of a building fall to his death without helping him. |

It's just a guess, of course, but I imagine that the multi-villian pitfall will be avoided. It seems that Dent most likely will be afflicted towards the end of The Dark Knight to set up the next movie in episodic, serialized fashion. One wonders though if the next one will feature the dreaded multiple villian milieu though. |

another reply to the same post... of course, in The Dark Knight graphic novel (again, from what I can remember) Batman is a very pudgy middle-aged man, hehee so, in that repect, we know the movie isn't going to be true to the comic. |

Christian Bale has lovely chiseled features, which work well with leather. Incentive enough to see it.
