"Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain" by Pavement is an excellent summertime album, as is Beck's "Stereopathetic Soulmanure" (the latter being more of an evening-time record).

The first 5 songs of Brighten The Corners are my "moving into a new house" songs. If things are going badly i refuse to allow them near my stereo

i'm listening to the +2 series. it's a trio with rotating leadership shared between Moreno Veloso (son of Caetano), Alexandre Kassin, and Domenico Lancelotti.

it's a beautiful marriage of tropicalia, experimental rock, bossa nova and psychedelia.

also, sun ra's "space is the place" is great for summer nights.

The Stooges' Funhouse is perfect. especially when you're driving with the windows down.

i also enjoy Hypermagic Mountain when it gets hot.
