Something reasonably new. Help me.

Hmm...new Neurosis album is out now, I believe. The new Macca CD is available from my favourite all-time coffee house, Starbucks. Maybe there's a Steps greatest hits set you haven't bought so far.

Can't be doing with Neurosis. At all!

The most recent Musica Transonic. The title appears to be just a random collection of letters. It's rather awesome.

Or if you're in a mellower frame of mind, Julia Kent's "Delay". Cello. Rather lovely.

The new Shellac and Melt Banana are pretty good.

Or if you really want something new check out Mammatus. Kinda proggy psyche....maybe you could call it Space Rock. No cellos or harps though sorry. They do play an acoustic hippy jam though.....don't know if thats a selling point.

This was one of my favourites from last year not many people heard. Jay Reatard- Blood Visions.




REVIEWS FROM AMAZON:
If The Futureheads stopped being british and turned up the punk knob this might happen...maybe not. Either way this is very catchy late 70's/early 80's type punk perfected all the way down to the production. Simple, raw, and full of youth. I am reminded of the Buzzcocks, Richard Hell, and Wire...basically the greats. It's been a while since something of this caliber has been released and could still be considered "punk". The lyrics are brimming with drunken fun and lack of inhabitions as well (see the title of this review). It would be pretty punk to steal this album, but it would be even more punk to buy something from someone who has definitely created something great.

ANOTHER ONE:
This is one of the greatest punk albums of all time. Seriously.

I recommend it to anyone and everyone.

they've got this tetuzi akiyama CD at sound 323 that costs only 5 or 6 quid, i'd recommend that.

Did you just walk past the National Theatre? I was smoking a fag with a collegue outside, and someone wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans who looked remarkably like you walked past.

I love the new Battles album. I've heard parts of Dungen's new one and also the new National. They're good, I think.

And Grinderman rocks.

I'll second that Mammatus recommendation. I saw them open for Acid Morthers Temple a few weeks ago and they were pretty amazing. Except for the Muu-Muus.

What about Dungen. How do people feel about their stuff? I haven't seen one bad review.

Have you done this shopping trip? What did you get? Because I saw someone who looked like you buying what looked like a Busted CD in Woolworths on the Old Kent Road.

I can only go on a live gig i saw, but it had this Explosions in the Sky kinda feel, i think there was a Violin involved. It was certainly better than most support bands ive seen. I really dont like the latest Explosions in the Sky album, incidentally.

I ended up getting NNCK's Letters from the Earth and the new Bjork album (which I got after taking the Busted CD back - not 'gnarly' enough.)

It was me wandering past the NFT that day, too.

I feel like buying Sunn 0))) black one and blood shadow rampage.

If you have the cash, then you should. Buying records is totally sexy. If I see a girl and she's buying a record, whatever it might be, she becomes instantly better looking. If she's buying bread or milk, it won't do anything for me.
