People in their thirties

Is there really a way you should think like? I tried to subscribe to that idea, but either I'm too fucked up (it could be) to realise 'things', or just too good and nonchalant. I feel ever so more mature than ever, still I have little in common with the majority of people my own age.I haven't got a clue of where I stand on either counts. Help.

Rob Instigator 06.12.2007 04:51 PM

it is a bitch. all i know is you gots to keep on rockin.

!@#$%! 06.12.2007 05:02 PM

the ikara cult 06.12.2007 05:05 PM

Im in my early 20s but somehow i feel like im in my late 30s

pbradley 06.12.2007 05:45 PM

ditto with ikara... but I've always been more mature for my age

terminal pharmacy 06.12.2007 05:48 PM

you should think by youself like yourself age has nothing to do with it

the ikara cult 06.12.2007 05:49 PM

I had my inner child surgically removed when i was 13

Danny Himself 06.12.2007 05:51 PM

lol. The impending death of teenagerdom is very very freightening.

sarramkrop 06.12.2007 06:00 PM

It's not as if I really needed your advice, anyway. I'm quite happy with myself, whatever the age. Just wanted to see the response.

Norma J 06.12.2007 06:02 PM

I can only imagine what I'll be like in my thirties - my way of thinking. I have enough troubles now at 23 thinking I'm washed up and redundant whilst thinking of the somewhat old days.

terminal pharmacy 06.12.2007 06:14 PM

i thought my 20s were good but my 30s are better

really? nothing to fear-- life really is more fun when you live on your own and more or less know who you are.

I totally identify with that. I'm much happier a person than I was in my 20's. It's just that most people my age seem miserable all the time.

Пятхъдесят Шест 06.12.2007 07:11 PM

I'm getting a little irritated that when one of my friends has a birthday, or its my birthday they always say something to the affect of, "ohhhh I'm getting so old!!" "Don't you feel old??!"

No. No, I don't.

that's because the apex of their lives arrived in high school, and everything is downhill from there. if you choose to continue evolving, life gets better, on the other hand.

God, I hope so. The thought of that is what keeps me going.

No, the discussion was about "People in their thirties".

oh no no. this one is a subplot. see macrodollar's post.

Crumb's Crunchy Delights 06.12.2007 07:48 PM

Ah! Nobody briefed me about subplots!

I withdraw my statement in connection to your subplot, but leave it in place in case it fits in with the main plot and/or any other subplots which have arisen or may arise in the future.

I was a big fan of rockabilly as a child, and the flag was always used as a symbol, and I've always found the confederate flag an incredibly striking piece of design work.

I have to admit (partial) ignorance of its full connotations and political meaning.

Would it have helped if I'd put ;) at the end of my last statement for the hard of humour.

HECKLER SPRAY 06.12.2007 08:19 PM

Yes, we are all very serious boarders here. No Joke. Only wise posts.
Ok ?;)

floatingslowly 06.12.2007 09:29 PM

at least you don't get carded for smokes.

Jenmarie 06.12.2007 11:58 PM

i'm loving that this new generation of older people are evolving into less of what their parents were like. (ie-baby boomers and the ones that followed)

and hopefully this generation won't stick to that god awful poodle old lady look when it comes to their hair in their 60's/70's/etc.

i'm way off subject.

sonicl 06.13.2007 03:29 AM

I can't say that I'm all that conscious of my age. I mean, I guess I've picked up knowledge as I've gone through life, but I don't really think of myself as a forty year old.

There is a word for that.:)

sarramkrop 06.13.2007 03:51 AM

Sure, thanks. This thread is about people in their thirties, though.

Crumb's Crunchy Delights 06.13.2007 04:00 AM

But do you feel better able to deal with the cockroach problem now you're in your thirties than you could at a younger age?

sonicl 06.13.2007 04:01 AM

I think that you just reach a stage in your life when you grow used to the person you are and stop thinking that you should be someone else.
