Summer albums
Got any?
My music listening can get seasonal. That is, there's certain stuff that really sounds great in a particular season. Okay, I'll go first. This summer: Their Satanic Majesties Request (trippy, just sounds so right on a nice sunny day!) Slanted & Enchanted Byrds stuff Battles - Mirrored The Trashmen - Surfin' Bird The Electric Prunes Bob Dylan - Freewheelin', Bringing It All Back Home, Hwy 61 Rvstd The Who - My Generation The Sonics - Introducing..., Busy Body!!! Captain Beefheart - Safe as Milk |
Pretty cool stuff you got there. One thing i noticed, as the summer approaches, I begin to love later SY. Its always like that.

I'm thinking some sort of Denny Martin mix.
Or a Parliament/Funkadelic record. Maybe, War's The World is a Ghetto, for those in that part of town. |

People keep telling me I need to have the album. I can't bring myself to do it.
|
Do It Do It!!!!
|
I passed on the double LP reissue--one LP stereo, the other mono. The record store manager was pushing it at me, insisting I'd like it. But it was going for more than 25 bucks. I start to feel queasy when I dish out that much cash for one LP.
Besides I expect to see the Daydream Nation 4LP thing any day now, and I'm afraid I'll be suckered into paying for that expensive pile of shite. |
hell yeah, my dad sent me a copy of it ages ago so it was free. Get some Rundgren instead then!!!!!
