I'm going to take this opportunity then to try and unite myself with one or two interesting people. Hoping to come to the US in a few months..

so....

I'm female, 22 (23 next month), a practicing artist who is studying painting and printmaking.. A lot of my time is spent drawing or fooling around with my ideas. I play drums but my kit is packed up atm due to living circumstances... I have an 80's Ludwig kit... It's electric blue sparkle. yeh, I adore it that much. Art is my first love but music makes up a large portion also. Dislike people with major egos.. which is difficult since I am pagan and a lot of wiccan people I've come into contact with are pretty weird and self important. Moreso than I. At the moment I work at Starfux and sell my own art. There is a cat in my life, he's gorgeous. and little and black.

Most likely New York to stay with a friend who is nannying with some family, and then maybe going to Dallas or OKC to see an awesome friend I've never met.

Edit: well they are not playing Ok anytime soon, but you could go around to their band practice, or to Wayne's house!

phoenix, i reccomend travelling by train as you see so much of the country and its relatively cheap. the distances are immense but its worth it and you wont want to miss anything to be honest so you stay awake just to see it all. at least thats what i did when i went to the states.

first time i went to the states i travelled by coach everywhere and it was horrible! so yes train would defiantly be better.

it wouldnt be a long trip this time, just a couple of weeks. I plan to road trip the US at some stage in the future, but not this year. Though, train sounds awesome too. :)

Bestest friend I havent met yet doesnt like them anymore, so I doubt this would happen. :(

yes you see so much more than normal but you really have to be prepared for some long journeys. i did chicago to salt lake city and that took 33 hours. i did see some amazing sights though like the rockies and mountains, forrests etc. worth a look.

damnit, i used to be so tired of my own country...now that im not there, and see how the world so ignorantly makes fun of it, i like it a lot more...kinda like the adage 'gotta lose yourself to find yourself' (or maybe that was a movie tagline?), only in my case, i lost my country, and in doing so, found it.

america sux coxes.

There are a lot of nice people and some awesome things in the US. I dont think the country sucks. I think the government and its reckless use of resources to feed its reletively small population into mindless self indulgent and demanding drones, sucks.

i have nothing insightful to say, and everyone there is an asshole, so I never bothered joining, but it sure is an interesting read!
