Do Americans Need to Panic?
With The bombing in Glasgow, and the defused bombs in London. So should Americans be worried about this?
|
The major news networks will make sure we do.
|
No, because "they" can't come over there in their dangerous cars.
|
No, seriously, there's no need to panic because that's the main goal of terroristic acts, put the people on a constant fear. And it makes everything more difficult. Stay vigilant, don't panic.
|
Do you work for Fox News?
|
No, they rejected me. Fu*kers. I'm a freelancer.
|
That was directed at SyntheticalY. It's just so easy to imagine the title post being said by Shepard Smith or Hannity and Colmes.
|
Ah! I thought you were talking 'bout my quite-predictable second post.
|
You mean, you haven't been panicking yet?
I'm completely at a yellow level now. ![]() |
As long as Paris Hilton remains the most important news item there's nothing to worry about.
|
Actually, there has been much less Paris in light of the events in London and Glasgow.
American soccer fans should panic about their chances in Copa America. |
Maybe some Americans in particular, i.e. Paris Hilton, should start worrying then!
I only watched part of the first half of Argentina - USA in Copa America. USA looked comfortable in the first 45 minutes so I was surprised to read later that they eventually went down 4-1 in the second half. No shame in losing to Argentina though, who are surely the best team and favourites for the cup. I could easily see them mess up somewhere along the way though, just like they did in the 2006 world cup. |
Its the same story for the US on the world stage once again.
To be fair this is a B-squad if that makes sense. A lot of top players (like Landon Donovan) have opted out of this tournament to play with their clubs, which are in mid season right now, considering they've missed a good month already fresh off the Gold Cup. Keller in goal is a complete liability, and it showed against Argentina. I was hoping all European based players would take part in this (as they make up the bulk of our backline) but I suppose they deserve a break. |
Keller had some good saves indeed. The fact that the tournament is so soon after the Gold Cup is a big disadvantage for USA and Mexico too.
With messing up I was referring to Argentina, who were in my opinion the best team in the 2006 World Cup but then let the title slip from their hands very easily with a poor performance against Germany in the quarterfinal. ah, but we're getting off topic now. |
ZOMG GET YR TOWELS!!!!!

But isn't Mexico on some sort of lockdown, because of the drug cartel crap. If you ask me that should be at the borders and coasts. |
about that? no....
but Americans do need to panic... in America, there are over 30,000 hand gun deaths a year. in America, 1 out of 5 people are hungry. in America, 2 out of 5 people are poor. in America, 1 out 20 people can not read in America, 1 out 30 people might not even be a citizen in America, 1 in 100 people are presently incarcerated. in America, millions of people are forced to live under the CONFEDERATE FLAG, as it is the STATE FLAG OF THREE STATES in the US..... yes, I'd say the shit is about to hit the fan.... |
it's happening on the north part of the country, mostly. and it's not a lockout.
it gets exagerated by the leftists to make it seem like the country is under a fascist police state so to give the government a totalitarian light. it's not ,believe me. |
I generally distrust the Left and the Right. I could never trust either party. All the news I get here, from the L.A. Times is there some drug problems, going on. And from what I hear the northern area, of Mexico is in such a disarray.
|
yes, i don't trust either, as i have written here, i don't believe in democracy at all.
having said that, the right here is more like a center, kinda like the democrats in the u.s. (former president) fox was a moron but calderon has been really good, i applaud his position and methods of dealing with stuff. the right here is much more tolerant and neutral than the left, who are totalitarian and fascists in their methods. well, it depends, the north is one of the most thriving areas industry-wise and there's a lot of hard working force there (i'm talking the whole nuevo leon sort of area); then again, tijuana, ciudad juarez, etc. also in the north are pretty fuck with the narcos killing and flooding the cities with drugs and crime, plus the whole border/migration issues. |
Yes that was what I was getting at with the drug cartels, and immigration. I was reading a while back about how those citizens in the north are frustrated with how things have gone in their towns. Yeah, the whole north is going through its own industrial revolution. That may also make people from the farther south go there. I was in favor of that other twat, but after he started protesting, and all that I got annoyed by him.
I think the left in Latin America has many flaws. First of all their views lean more towards communism, as we all know that is a failed utopia. It just becomes regulated, and fascists. |
tomorrow the governement is going to get overthrown and i will have to flee to the u.s...i'll stay in ny and bum.
that twat hates the wealthy, foreigners, people who have a religion, etc. twat wants to nationalize everything and send all businessmen to exile, he wants to bankrupt the country and to sever ties with all nations (except cuba and venezuela). he wants the poor to be angry and take things by force, he wants to eliminate all kinds of welfare. all because he is a bloodthirsty power hungry wanna be dictator after his own good and under the disguise of a "better living for the needy" campaign. the good thing is that the people know, everybody knows. i didn't vote but i have, in theory, no right to complain as the majority voted and they voted, not for a political agenda, but for the most serious politic running. i do respect that. |
