Upcoming untitled monster-destructo movie!?!?! *People who saw Transformers saw this*
A friend of mine talked about this trailer he saw before the Transformers movie tonight. The trailer apparently included all grainy hand-held style footage of some kind of like.. birthday party, and then this "earthquake" or explosion, and then New York getting all destroyed by some invisible monster.
There's basically no information about it, I guess the common conclusion being reached is, obviously, Godzilla, but it sounds fucking awesome. It had better not be Godzilla, because as much as Godzilla is rad, it's tired now. Let it sleep for a few more years before rehasing that shit.

It looked interesting, since it did not show what it was all about, it looked good. So we will see in time, what it is.

This is the first time I'm seeing this. That's a really great trailer. I'd hate to think its something as silly as a re-hash of a "Godzilla/Monster Destroys City" film.

Well, a good monster movie is what we need. Who the hell isn't tired of all the doubl-ejointed dead-kids bullshit and fog and slippery floors crap?!

Also a lot of publications intially thought "Cloverfield" was the alias title for "The Dark Tower" but I find it hard to believe that anything more then a still being written first draft is completed when it comes to that, project.

I can't see this being all that good. Monster films usually end up overwrought with digital effects (the last American Godzilla movie was lame) and pays so much attention on the monster that it gets superficial and cliched. If Abrams sticks with the style of the teaser, it might be interesting but extremely hard to keep from getting boring and overly suspenseful.
I can't wait to hear more. |

Abrams Project (aka "Cloverfield") we've been following. You can read our last report here. Two websites dedicated to a chap named Ethan Haas are now live - one entitled EthanHaaswasright.com, the other, EthanHaaswaswrong.blogspot.com. The latter drives you to a blog that spends most of its time disspelling rumors while the former challenges you with a puzzle (where's Sydney Bristow when you need her?). Memorize the movement of the puzzle pieces and you'll be taken to raw video footage with a special message. Tip: Look to the stars for help. You may have to e-mail someone named "Van" - he'll guide you through all five puzzles. We've given it a whirl... What's it all mean? Beats us, but this is shaping up to be more than just a rumored "monster movie." And knowing J.J. Abrams' work, things are probably going to get a helluva lot more cryptic. |

ok so me and my friend were bored and did all the puzzles on the ethanhaaswasright.com site and it was pretty cool, but now im trying to find more things, im looking to see if the buttons u press for the first puzzle spell anything, and there is also writing across the sphere before it opens up.
