Happenings of the day - What happened to ya?

Found out from a tattooist down the road that their ink is organic, hence animal free. Plus they don't look as busy as the one I've been going to for years, so I'll be able to get in whenever.:D

Other than that I worked on Vegas and went to the art shop and found out how much the squeegy things are for screen printing.

You?

phoenix 08.02.2007 04:08 AM

organic doesnt necessarily mean animal free..

I had no idea there were animal products in tattoo inks anyway. What kind of animal element do they use?

er today I talked to a really interesting artist. Then I had some jam donuts and a soymilk hot chocolate.
Then I read some books

and then I stayed about an hour of my history theory class before leaving.. because we had a temp and shes no idea what she was supposed to teach...

phoenix 08.02.2007 04:08 AM

oh and tonight Im getting a quarter.

pbradley 08.02.2007 04:10 AM

I learned that all the renters for a 3 bedroom apartment for $2700 or below in the western half of San Francisco aren't answering my calls/messages.

phoenix 08.02.2007 04:11 AM

2700 a month? thats ridiculous.

SynthethicalY 08.02.2007 04:11 AM

I have been up since 7 in the morning, and went to school, came home, and worked on my essay for my English class, and my homework for philosophy. I am still working on my essay, I will be done shortly and take a nap.

Organic ink is plant based, hence no glycerin... well organic, plant based glycerin.

jon boy 08.02.2007 04:49 AM

someone gave me some pine nuts at work, the highlight of my day thus far.

jon boy 08.02.2007 05:23 AM

you should have go them to give you a head massager.

nicfit 08.02.2007 05:27 AM

Is "The Orgasmatron" the copper head massager you had in some pic, jon boy?
BTW, today I'm gonna eat a pizza, study a bunch of things about web usability, go for a shops' tour to find some plain grey tees .
Actually those are all thing that "will happen", not that "happened", but who cares.

phoenix 08.02.2007 05:28 AM

but organic doesnt mean plant based. Organic just means free of added chemicals. Doesnt it? hmm

sarramkrop 08.02.2007 05:38 AM

I've chatted to this guy who boards the bus at the same time as me. Bumped into him last week while I was out, and we chatted about commuting every morning and such boring things. The world is really small. He's gay, does that help?

..who bust your balls?...

Can you please explain to a non-native speaker? Different things keep coming to my mind at once :o

Correct, but that's the least of your worries. Tattoo inks (colours only) contain toxic heavy metals.
The brighter and long lasting pigments are the worst. My tats were all done in black.

I'm having the usual day at work. Editing footage I shot yesterday of the crappest boy/girl bands on this side of the planet.

A Thousand Threads 08.02.2007 05:57 AM

Just found out that we booked Qui for December.
Great, can't wait to see David Yow (Scratch Acid / Jesus Lizard) on stage.

jon boy 08.02.2007 05:59 AM

you have been making xxx phonecalls nefeli!

sonicl 08.02.2007 06:00 AM

I used to have a polivcy, when I was doing bar work, of never accepting tips from people I didn't like, as it would mean that I had to be nice to them for the rest of the evening, or the next time they came to the pub. Not a good way to get rich, I know, but I'd have felt like a hypocrite otherwise.

I have to phone the dentist too.

_slavo_ 08.02.2007 06:02 AM

I've been a nervous fuck the whole day at work so far.

This job drives me nuts (as I haven't said that 100 times before).

Other than that, I had a bad SY-related dream this night.

Not one of the greatest days, overally.

jon boy 08.02.2007 06:03 AM

i might phone a dentist just to feel like i belong now.

Danny Himself 08.02.2007 06:11 AM

I'm sitting here having had an odd night of on-off sleep, staring at the internet, planning how I'm going to convince a girl I met the other day to go out with me.

Oh and I also read some cat power interviews. And walked the dog. And ate breakfast.

Norma J 08.02.2007 06:17 AM

Wow hey hey!

sonicl 08.02.2007 06:25 AM

Er... no. My dentist seemed a little confused. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon though.

awwww...I hear ya. A Pain-in-the-ass, as we name it.

jon boy 08.02.2007 06:36 AM

atsonicpark 08.02.2007 07:42 AM

yeah, i've been listening to the qui record this week. it's... pretty good. ipecac rarely lets me down, so yeah.
$2700 a month? that's insane. you can get a 2-bedroom here for $400 a month.

Laila 08.02.2007 08:41 AM

was that a response to my post? coincidence?

Savage Clone 08.02.2007 08:53 AM

Last night on my way to practice I biked past a major freeway bridge collapse over the Mississippi river. People are dead and everything. It was quite the crazy scene. I work right by there, so perhaps I will get some good photos today. I wish I had not gotten out of the habit of always having my camera on me; it would have served me well last night when history happened right in front of me. I didn't see the actual collapse, but I was there about 20 minutes after it happened.

sonicl 08.02.2007 09:07 AM

My first thought on seeing that on the news was I hope the Twin Cities boardies are okay. I figured that, knowing you don't drive, you'd be unaffected.

On a totally different subject, I've grown bored with having my hair clippered, so I'm going to get it cut in a proper "style" next time it's cut, rather than just a load of short hair on top of my head. I mention this here because I made an appointment with my girlfriend's hairdresser at lunchtime.

Savage Clone 08.02.2007 11:43 AM

I do actually do some delivery work by truck in the daytime, but thankfully this happened after hours.

fishmonkey 08.02.2007 11:49 AM

today was my second day in my new job, its all financial and why i just love it... i LOVE been a corporate whore for my new employer.

(no that wasnt sarcasim either. i actually love it)

cryptowonderdruginvogue 08.02.2007 12:14 PM

i just had some delicious grilled veggies and tofu

jon boy 08.02.2007 12:16 PM

i just won £200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

floatingslowly 08.02.2007 12:17 PM

I started the day with ritualized incantations to Papa Legba. shortly after that, I began to recieve communications from The Future.

surely my boon was due to Legba's favor!

(Oh, to be yr horse!)

The Future told me that it was cold there, and that our time was limited to 20 minutes.

mathmatical error, cigarettes and tactile manipulations of the Interspacial Date Line allowed me to stretch this time to 25 minutes (subsequently bankrupting transglobal communication allowances).

Orunmila, Ellegua, Legba; Opener of The Way, Master of Crossroads, Primordial Light and Sun! Praises Be to You for the gifts that you bring this Lowly Minion.

Inhuman 08.02.2007 12:37 PM

I quit my job this morning. I'm tired of hearing my coworkers and the new raise is really crappy. I start school soon anyway so it's no biggie. I've been playing my new guitar since I got home.

As for the coworkers, they were all
"Man we're going to Montreal this weekend and going to strip clubs for lap dances, you can get strippers for $100/hour to lap dance you"
I couldn't believe it, $100 for a lap dance? I told them that was very 'instinctive' of them to waste their money like that, but they would jump to the conclusion that I was 'gay'.

/Rant

Last night I went riding with my buddies out to Bay Ridge Brooklyn and had some awesome Italian food.

This morning I dropped my bike off at the shop to get a bigger pipe installed.

I checked in with my printer, artist, and translators - hoping to get some books finished. Tonight, after I go for a little ride, I'll watch Popeye cartoons and play some DDR. (because I'm a total dweeb)

Savage Clone 08.02.2007 02:48 PM

Took a couple of collapsed bridge pix before work today, since I work less than two blocks from the site:
