I stopped downloading music a long time ago.

gmku 09.10.2007 06:47 PM

Except for "Sister Morphine" by Cantankerous and a Pussy Galore CD, I've never downloaded anything.

You're quite the comedian.

Anyway, Saturnine's stuff is wow! Improvement on the Marianne Faithfull version, wow. This will be played at a lot wherever I happen to hang around.

gmku 09.10.2007 07:06 PM

Yeah, Crumb's, you never fail to make me go, haha. Haha.

Thing I like about Saturnine's is its originality. I can do the song on my guitar, but I basically just imitate the Stones.

luxinterior 09.10.2007 07:29 PM

I can't afford to buy music anymore. Or anything else for that matter.

Cardinal Rob 09.10.2007 07:39 PM

Anything that I know is worth owning physically within a reasonable price, or within most price ranges made by artists that are still alive and being paid a decent proportion of the price I pay for the album.

Whoah listen to me go on, I'm a musical activist.

Toilet & Bowels 09.10.2007 07:45 PM

i don't have any money at the moment, but when i do my immediate buying concerns will be:

Der TPK LP
the new Broomdusters LP
an Ikuro Takahashi LP
Geto Boys - Grip It On That Other Level
Daydream Nation deluxe
and I want to try some stuff from the label Was Soll Das? Platten

drrrtyboots 09.10.2007 08:29 PM

Akron/Family when it's released in a week.

Pax Americana 09.10.2007 08:43 PM

Thurston's new one. I felt bad for downloading it, but it's soooo good. I'm totally getting it.

pbradley 09.10.2007 08:49 PM

Haven't downloaded the Thurston album but I'll buy it. It's helpful knowing that it's already pretty much guaranteed that I'm going to like it.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 09.10.2007 09:17 PM

I'll start buying albums again when I have a steady source of income ;)

Right now I just can't afford it.

Inhuman 09.10.2007 09:20 PM

good choice pbradley, you will not be dissapointed. I like it more than any Sonic Youth album at this point in time, but in a different way. It's perfect for the fall time. "Silver Blue" and "The shape is in a trance" are very touching songs. Thurston really got his act together on this album and I hope he keeps it up!

I plan to buy:
Trees Outside the Academy - Thurston (definitely. So good.)
Detox - Dr. Dre (rumor has it that it will actually be released next year)
Only Built for Cuban Lynx II - Raekwon

That's about it right now.

atsonicpark 09.11.2007 01:00 AM

i dunno, anything good. i burn a lot but i tend to buy a good amount too. i mainly buy electronic music.

Torn Curtain 09.11.2007 05:34 AM

The new Notwist and My Brightest Diamond when they're out.

i used to be a bit of a purist but now i am not that bothered, i have not bought anything for a while but i think that the deluxe versions and the SYR's i will probably buy.
