What Chractersitic You Look In Your Significant Other?

I look in the ability to have a proper conversation with me. I do not really care about physical features, as long as they are not big-boned, but would not care if there was an attraction there. I also look that they are smart, and can have fun without alcohol. Also that their idea of fun does not revolve only in going to clubs.

So what are yours?

cryptowonderdruginvogue 09.13.2007 01:32 AM

I like women that are very nurturing
The way their warmth radiates around in a room
Such a distinct warmth that you can find her in a sea of people with your eyes closed

I also like women that are social

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 09.13.2007 01:35 AM

Pretty face
Nice smile
nice voice
nice laugh
decent taste in music
big boobs
doesn't smell
doesn't smoke
believes that don't directly clash with mine
not over dramatic and super emotional
has decent teeth
an optimistic but not overly optimistic outlook on life
good kisser
good performer sexually
good breath

sarramkrop 09.13.2007 03:19 AM

An ability to cope when they attend the primal scream therapy sessions.

sonicl 09.13.2007 03:54 AM

Good spelling

jon boy 09.13.2007 04:13 AM

slightly twisted, in a good way.

mangajunky 09.13.2007 08:50 AM

I like a woman who is not average and is smarter than I am about some things so that we can learn from each other. I also like a quirky look. Someone that is not cookie-cutter.

My significant other must be someone who is neither a rolling pin nor a baking tray.

Man, good call. I fucking hate going to clubs, and all my 'friends' in Montreal always go clubbing. Last time I was supposed to go, they were trying to take me Kareoke clubbing. So I ditched them and went to a Talib Kweli show instead.

I loookkk foorr:
-Intelligence (most people are idiots)
-Quirkyness, curious, and has moral values
-Cute appearance
-Good music taste

screamingskull 09.13.2007 09:25 AM

Rob Instigator 09.13.2007 09:26 AM

I look for

the ability to hold a conversation that is not about clothes, TV or movies

reading. a chick MUST read. non-readers make me soft.

must love music. does not ahve to be the kind I like, but if you don;t love music on some level you are a pod.

interesting face. I like a face that is distinctive.

must enjoy eating food damnit! I can't stand going to dinner with a lady who poo-poos all the food and will not try anything, ussually under the old "watching my weight" bullshit. Life si for living! food is for eating! enjoy ti damnit!

I like big butts, but that is not a make or break.

ALIEN ANAL 09.13.2007 09:36 AM

haylee *sigh*

tesla69 09.13.2007 09:40 AM

wealth, she's got to be really loaded, independently, not someone who gets little amounts doled out by parent or trust fund, thats all I care about really is how rich she is. Preferably she has lots of insecurity issues so she is easily manipulated. I'm a real find, ladies.

Danny Himself 09.13.2007 09:53 AM

-Zooey Deschanel
-Tolerant of how boring/annoying I can be
-Similar taste in music
-Matt Groening funny, not Jerry Seinfeld funny
-Endlessly interesting, always something new to discover
-Well dressed (let's be honest, it helps)
-NOT a hardcore christian conservative who never stops trying to prove god while making an ass of themselves
-NOT an atheist who never stops trying to disprove god while making an ass of themselves

HaydenAsche 09.13.2007 09:54 AM

Good looking
Well dressed
Social(uses drugs & drinks)

smell is oh so important. i like it when you can smell someone and its really nice and sometimes i think that scent is really an amazing way of attracting someone. i am not in perfume btw.

luxinterior 09.13.2007 02:39 PM

I agree with smelling good. That's the best thing.

I don't actively look for a "significant other" because I have a hard time considering someone to be significant, period. I don't like having one person who wants to hang around me 24/7. And I don't like to date.
With that said, I appreciate these qualities:

-Good looking (or at least interesting to look at if they can't manage that much).
-Keeps mouth shut when they don't have anything good to say.
-Funny. If you can't be funny then at least be carefree/flirtatious/sexy.
-Has their own interests and doesn't try to borrow my own to impress me. That's the worst.
-Isn't going through a painfully awkward stage in their life.
-Someone whose every interest isn't apparent just by looking at them. I think "mystery" is stupid, but try to be a little less obvious maybe.

Inhuman 09.13.2007 03:14 PM

Smiling. Simple as that. It makes me so happy when anyone smiles at me and I love when people smile a lot

Rob Instigator 09.13.2007 03:59 PM

I have said it before and I will say it until the day I die.
A woman, ANY woman, becomes ten times more beautiful and lovely just from an honest smile.

schizophrenicroom 09.13.2007 04:09 PM

good-looking
spontaneous
READS
listens to good music- not just picks up on what i listen to and sticks to similar stuff but hunts out their own tunes
funny- and not just teenage-boy funny
must smell good. or decent. i fucking hate axe.
independent. or able to not have to be around me constantly.
making out for more than 20 minutes at a time bores me.
knows when to shut the hell up
i hate pet names
semi-mysterious
won't judge me

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 09.13.2007 04:41 PM

yeah for miss deschanel.

I agree with that a lot. Every single guy that I ended up going out with, I felt like I've bumped into them by accident rather than because I was actively looking out for a second half. When someone seems to have in their mind only relationships, it puts me off them completely. Go and learn to be single and happy, then potential boyfriends sneak out from under big stones for you. Independence is a quality that I like in a man a lot, as well an interest in stuff, people and all the usual blah blah blah.

Cardinal Rob 09.13.2007 05:30 PM

Pretty much this:

Cantankerous 09.14.2007 12:25 AM

witty
must have things in common ie taste in music, activities
not boring
fantastic sex (sorry, you're out if you can't live up to this standard)
willing to live in the same space as me without being clingy 24/7...
listens to me instead of being all zoned out watching TV and only hearing bits and pieces
quiet. but will talk for me when i get too shy to say anything.
let me be independent and spend my own money etc, don't go around buying me flowers and candy and jewelry, i can buy my own thanks
no chest hair
dark hair
imperfect teeth - perfect straight white teeth gross me out
at least 6' tall, preferably taller

That is how it happened with me, I wasn't looking for anyone in particular. Then bam there he was, and we are going 13 months strong this month.

I do agree with independence, I don't care about someone with a lot of similar taste only somethings we can do together, like going to watch a movie or something like that.

pbradley 09.14.2007 12:36 AM

I don't have relationship checklists. I find them shallow and rude. If I can sit down with her and be totally enamored, all the small "characteristics" that I tell myself that I look for can take a hike. I'm not looking for a breed of dog, I'm looking for a mature relationship.
