Kicking, squealing, Gucci little piggy...

My favorite song from that album.

Still Radiohead's best song. I just feel I can relate to that vacuum-packed, credit-wielding, demon horror staring at the cosmos that Thom sings about in the song. Not relate to the witch. Relate to Thom's feelings about her...

I really don't like Ok Computer very much at all.
|
It's art rock, back in 1997. The themes and spirit of it are overdone though, the mood and atmosphere of it, has become sort of a cliche... It's music for airports, on dark rainy days, in sterile, empty metal hells...
|
I suppose but the whole album has always seemed rather dull and dry to me. Maybe that's the point. I prefer their other records.
|
Yeah, I have a friend who swears by The Bends, and another who loves Hail To The Thief, but I'm the odd one out... I actually enjoy OK Computer... It can't be enjoyed if you're not in the mood, I admit... :)

Thom Yorke's voice makes me want to pull the trigger on any of their albums, but Greenwood's occasional guitar-playing can be good. The only album of theirs that I can barely tolerate, and by that I mean just 2 or 3 songs, is Hail To The Thief, but that's really stretching it. On the CD single of Paranoid Android that you've posted (or it might be the CD2 of Paranoid Hemorrhoids, can't remember), there's hidden one of their best songs, but I have listened to it years ago, so I couldn't tell you what it's called. It's the last track on one of the CD singles.

i hate that video.

One of the best songs of the 90s, hands down.
|
i think ok computer is rather dull and lifeless, and i always have. it's not BAD, it's just kinda.. dry. but i do love this song. the video sucks though.
|
Strange video. Not the best song on the album, though. I'd say Let Down and Lucky would be.
|
Paranoid android is great but the best song off OK computer is Lucky for me. And I can't see how one can think OK Computer is dull but as the saying goes tastes differ.

I see what you mean with lifeless, I'd say the record is abstract and detached. But as the title "OK Computer" reflects dehumanisation there may be truth to the term "lifeless" in a way. |

I've grown to adore Lucky a lot, but when I first heard Paranoid Android, I was stoned and the fucking thing blew my mind away...

the best album ever recorded.

Interesting, all these viewpoints. Interesting.

Yeah, Lucky is one of their best songs, period.
