My birthday is on Sunday. My friends are throwing a 60's/70's icon theme party. I have some costume ideas in mind, but I'd like some more....
It can be anyone, really. Artists, political figures, fictional characters.
So whatd'ya say?

I need to be someone female. The ratio of Edie sedwicks to ANYONE else will be about 5:1.
I thought about Nico, but I would basically involve me waearing normal clothes and not dressing up.
My brother suggested Nancy Sinatra, which would be funny, and fun.

I've also considered Debby Harry...

I hadn't thought of Nancy Spungen, though.

Of course let's not get started on the merits of a costume party to begin with, which I hate and always attend un-costumed.

Can anybody tell me why we should care what costume you end up choosing? Seriously, what is the point of this thread?

It's not meant to excite anyone. I was sincerely looking for some suggestions, as I am not very skilled in the way of "decision making".

And, yes, as some might expect on a chat forum, it is meant for conversation, as well. Some valued opinions and arguments are often conceived during the process of making a pointless thread into a good conversation topic.

velvet pants are always an option, with a ruffled blouse and high boots and a big floppy hat. she used to wear shit like that a lot if i recall. fur coats.
