Some opinions, if you please

My birthday is on Sunday. My friends are throwing a 60's/70's icon theme party. I have some costume ideas in mind, but I'd like some more....
It can be anyone, really. Artists, political figures, fictional characters.
So whatd'ya say?

ZEROpumpkins 12.29.2007 12:57 AM

Go as Jean Grey again :D

How about Jackie Kennedy?

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 01:01 AM

Too boring, I'm afraid. Preferably blonde hair.

✌➬ 12.29.2007 01:02 AM

Richard Nixon?

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 01:03 AM

Oh, come on.

Andy Warhol or Marilyn Monroe.

✌➬ 12.29.2007 01:06 AM

Keith Richards? Edie Sedgwick, How about pictures of your parents or grandparents?

RdTv 12.29.2007 01:08 AM

Jim Carrol, Andy Warhol, Iggy Pop, Nico, Sable Star, Nancy Spungen, Che, Fidel Castro, Penny Arcade, Coral Shields, Jane County.........

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 01:20 AM

I need to be someone female. The ratio of Edie sedwicks to ANYONE else will be about 5:1.
I thought about Nico, but I would basically involve me waearing normal clothes and not dressing up.
My brother suggested Nancy Sinatra, which would be funny, and fun.

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 01:20 AM

I've also considered Debby Harry...

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 01:23 AM

I hadn't thought of Nancy Spungen, though.

gmku 12.29.2007 01:23 AM

Of course let's not get started on the merits of a costume party to begin with, which I hate and always attend un-costumed.

RdTv 12.29.2007 01:24 AM

hmm perhaps.....

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 01:25 AM

I mad it quite clear that anyone who aims to destroy the spirit of this intentionally good time by not dressing up, is not welcome.

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 01:27 AM

Now, that I like!

You extroverts. All you ever think about is your damned good times.

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 01:30 AM

I was going to say something to that, but then I thought...
I'm havin a smoke.

ALIEN ANAL 12.29.2007 01:53 AM

god damn
i do believe the 70s/80s monster beast will be released when one more 70s/80s themed dress up party occurs

we must stop it before its too late

gmku 12.29.2007 01:56 AM

Stop the madness!

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 03:44 AM

But, it's not. You have it all wrong.
I think I'll be Patti Boyde. There's a George Harrison, and a potential Eric Clapton...

My first thought when I read the first posts of this thread. Barbarella is a great call, but pulling off a "mise" like that in winter, hmmmm....

CAMEL TOE!!

Yeah I was looking so bite me.

EDIT:Looks like the kid noticed it too.

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 02:14 PM

Anita Pallenberg isn't a bad idea, but what would I wear? You guys know I'll be posting pictures, so if you have any influence, I'd assume you want to see some decent results...

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 02:40 PM

I've also considered Patti Smith

nicfit 12.29.2007 02:45 PM

Agnetha Fältskog is too 70s?

gmku 12.29.2007 03:40 PM

Can anybody tell me why we should care what costume you end up choosing? Seriously, what is the point of this thread?

nicfit 12.29.2007 03:54 PM

Conversation?

flophousefloozie 12.29.2007 10:34 PM

It's not meant to excite anyone. I was sincerely looking for some suggestions, as I am not very skilled in the way of "decision making".
gmku, you certainly do not have to care, but I going with the Nancy Sinatra idea...
And thanks for the assistance, folks.

velvet pants are always an option, with a ruffled blouse and high boots and a big floppy hat. she used to wear shit like that a lot if i recall. fur coats.
