sesions with dr luv, dellilah's debut album will finally be released this friday.
we are having a release show at the uganda in jerusalem (so moshe better come)
if anybody is interested in a copy pm me and i will give you paypal info, its 5$ plus shipping (i think).

cool. just bear in mind that on the album there is the whole trilogy (ie Act I, II, III)
which is kind of like a mini opera in the middle of the album....

Just a bump coz I'm listening to this again right now and I'm loving it.
Great album, nicely recorded/mixed. Lovely stuff, for real, I love the overall mood, it's not pretentious at all but not too "amateur-ish" either. Just great.
You can hear influences here and there, but all for the good coz they're no copycats at all.

it wasnt recorded that well, but i think it fits the mood. like you said, our influences are definatly present, but i dont think it feels like a cover album.

I like the sounds, they do "fit the mood" nicely.
The only thing that doesn't suit my tastes 100% is the drums, I like them more "up front" in the mix, but it's just a personal opinion and not a proper "flaw".

guys get a copy, it's cheap and worth it.

ha! in the original mix the drums were much more prominent but noa, the drummer prefered them a bit more in the backround. the guy that recorded us has a great drum sound, when recorded correctly he can get a nice albini sound

he he noa pobably felt too "exposed" :D !
this mix makes the vocals stand out nicely btw, it's not bad at all.

/off topic

the overall mood reminds me of one of my fav records ever, titled "d'amortelocanto" , by an almost unknown (even over here) italian band called Kleinkief. I'll up it and link it somewhere, they split up and it's probably waaay out of print. They started from semi noise-rock to more pop "song form" stuff, and by their third record they gave birth to this amazing album semi acoustic - semi poetic, with weird melodies, weird lyrics and hooks... I'm gonna listen to it now ha ha.
