The "pro-anorexia"

I've stumbled on that - unofficial - vid on youtube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bnosNg4S6O8

I don't get how people can advocate anorexia , anorexia is terrible.

✌➬ 01.09.2008 08:01 PM

Some people are really just messed up that they think they are helping. These people need serious help, all of those girls.

HaydenAsche 01.09.2008 08:11 PM

If I wasn't already sickly thin I'd become anorexic to get there. It's so hot right now.

!@#$%! 01.09.2008 08:18 PM

to quote george carlin:

"rich cunt, doesn't wanna eat? FUCK HER."

Bollocks_to_Pop 01.09.2008 08:19 PM

Edit: Nevermind.

jakeonguitar 01.09.2008 08:21 PM

I remember wanting one of these shirts a while back:

[And if anyone was wondering why it looked like the guy above me posted this a few seconds ago, it was cause he was logged into the same school computer I'm on. Oops.]

Kina 01.09.2008 08:37 PM

I don't see how overly thin people are supposed to look good.
I remember when those first photos of Kate Moss came out back in the 90s which was a contrast to the supermodels of the 80s. Kate Moss was seen as representing an imperfect body image ie crooked teeth, small breasts, short, no curves (too thin), ordinary face. But now this is seen as something people should aspire to and people actually go to great lengths to look like this to the point that they put their health in danger. It's amazing what media can do to people's perceptions of almost anything.

drrrtyboots 01.09.2008 08:38 PM

That man looks fake.

I think it was also some model named Twiggy that promoted the... twiggy look.

But yeah. Quite a contrast from the 'voluptiousness' of the mid 20th century models.

Cantankerous 01.09.2008 09:05 PM

i'm almost 30 lbs underweight for my height and i look fucking great. all of you, shut up. i'm convinced that i'm supposed to be this size and that i weighed too much before because the bones in my chest still don't stick out (Which they should not, that's TOO bony.)
i appreciate voluptuous women, not fat women. and voluptuousness just does not work on me. i'm rail thin, yeah, but i still have my tits and THANK GOD they are a manageable size now. still large for my body size, but i look good.
anyway, you guys should not be ragging on anorexics or pro anorexia or whatever because youve never been there, so don't judge. just like if you've never BEEN or been close to a drug addict: you don't know what it's like, so SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTHS.

!@#$%! 01.09.2008 09:07 PM

dear cankers,

please don't take this personally.

we all make fun of ourselves and others-- it's the interweb after all.

btw, you look great-- huge feet and all :p

Cantankerous 01.09.2008 09:09 PM

don't tell me it's gross and wrong to celebrate your flaws. i have crooked teeth. i'm 5'7 and 108 lbs with C cup boobs, of course i look like a fucking freak.
my feet are not huge.

it is some fucked up shit though... my ex at one point was under 100 lbs (she's 5'9")... landed herself in the ER and contracted chronic bronchitis...

the really thin look has gone in and out of fashion over the years, it goes back but further than Twiggy, I was just trying to refer to a trend that has happened within my lifetime

Cantankerous 01.09.2008 09:19 PM

all my uggs are size 8

and twiggy was awesome. i'm so tired of these fucking feminist women like kathleen hanna being all fat and sassy. sorry, i am.

!@#$%! 01.09.2008 09:24 PM

Cantankerous 01.09.2008 09:27 PM

...now you're going to get her all self-conscious and start binding her feet

....got to hit that perfect length, like those magic numbers on the scale.

Cantankerous 01.09.2008 09:35 PM

feet are a little different than starving yourself.
sorry i just don't like big feet. i'm not judging, i just don't want to look. if you like them, great.

Kina 01.09.2008 09:35 PM

nah that's ok

anyway I'm not talking about fat people, I'm just commenting on the change that happened when I was growing up from this being beautiful:

to this:

and how it's kinda stayed the same since, I wonder if this will go on for much longer or will there be a new different trend coming up. Ofcourse people just being happy as they are is never an option for most, I know people well enough to know that's the case

!@#$%!

oh come on, can you stay mad after looking at that???

flophousefloozie 01.09.2008 09:52 PM

People always seem to be complaining about females being unattractive because they're too skinny, but they never say a word about obese women, because it seems to be a touchy subject. Obescity is deadly, too, you know.

I just ate 2 pieces of pizza while reading this entire thread.

I find Kate Moss to be very unappealing. Too "frogish" for me.

Kina 01.09.2008 10:00 PM

Being the extreme in either way is unhealthy, I just remember that when I was a kid there was a lot of emphasis on exercise to be fit (which was a bit overdone in the 80s I do admit) but now it's more about starving yourself which I think is even worse

m1rr0r dash 01.09.2008 10:01 PM

do not stare at kate moss' crotch.

....i said not to stare...
