Two. Converse are cool I guess, but they are extremely uncomfortable in my opinion. Vans can come out with pretty stupid looking shoes sometimes, but these are pretty nice.

I have to admit I like the converse high tops, even though I think Pumas and Airwalks (sort of the old school skater preference) are a bit more versatile and comfortable. My everyday knockabout shoes are green suede Pumas. Can you find Pumas or Airwalks in your neck of the woods? I think they'd also be cheaper than the Converse.

#2 for sure. I like the vans slip ons but tons of people have them, so I guess the laces will do.

Chuck Taylors are cool as fuck, obviously, but they're one hell of a cliche.

The second Vans are good shoes. They make an all black pair which are cool. But, check your K-mart or Big W or the likes, as here you can get identical shoes as that, and I mean identical just without the Vans logo (they have no logos or brands on them) for like $8. Unfortunately they don't make my size in them, they only go to 12.

mine aren't those limited edition Run DMC, but I'd wear em if they were the same price. I love Run DMC.

I have white with black, white with red, black with white, and a weird white upper with black rubber and stripes.

Save your money. But if you must insist, get No Sweat sneakers. They're built better than Cons and are fair trade. Don't give into the whole "need authentic Converse bullshit" that many adolescents are trapped in today. They're the same price as cons too.
