Obama key to victory: Hillary seemed to "talk down" to Barack during the debate.
Yeah, the Republicans are looking to be in good shape despite the odds. If they can manage to orchestrate either Obama or Clinton to be the Democratic nominee, their ticket will once again win in the general election. |

Oh I edited. Dunno if you noticed. I have a habbit of hitting post before i'm done.

My boss at work came in really stoned once to pick up the day's earnings after the store had closed. He sat me down and lectured me on how important it is to vote and how in the 60's when he was attending Florida State Tim Leary and G. Gordon Libby came to his college to do their debate tour in which they debated each other on certain topics, the college students obviously taking Leary's side. At the end of the debate Liddy would ask how many people were actually registered to vote and apparently less than 5% raised their hands. He took about 15 minutes to tell this story. Then I let him know that I won't be 18 by the time the next election is here and he patted me on the back and said I can go home.

That's good news about Obama.
|
Both Bill and Hillary were telling rampant lies of insinuation about Obama in the primary, and it backfired on them, which is good.
...look for more references to Hillary Clinton's campaign as "Billary" |
obama's victory speech
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...l?hpid=topnews when i the last time you heard a politician speak like that? 1960? he's what we need. |
I still like Hillary better.
|
I agree with !@#$%!, I've liked Obama since he first came "on the scene" with the speech he gave at the Democratic Convention a few years back....his speech last night was realy good too. I actually believe that he wants to kick ass for the American people....you know, the ones that don't blow ass. When it comes to politicians, he's about as good as your going to get. He's the real deal.
|
He's too inexperienced.

those are delusions sir. obama has held public office for a lot longer than hillary. obama is a civil rights lawyer, has taught constitutional law, and was president of the harvard law review (he graduated magna cum laude). hillary is an intellectual property lawyer from yale. as a community organizer, he's more in touch with the real issues and problems people face. hillary's experience is in corporate boards. what we need is a DECENT person running things for a change an inspiring people to get involved in the process rather than turning people off with dirty politricks. we've had decades of voter apathy now. experience in high crimes and misdemeanors is not anything we should ask for. then again there is the boomer vs. gen-xer factor that seems to be underlying much of what the election is about. boomers have voted closer along racial lines where genxers havent. like how bill clinton compared obama w/ jesse jackson. but anyway-- interesting sociological stuff going on. |
Very interesting sociological stuff indeed.

maryland primary on feb 12. VOTE EARLY AND OFTEN. :D |
I know, right?!!
|
Sorry, I mean that he seems inexperienced. Diffident.
|
just dont end up like poe. :(
Anyway, here's an article that should appeal to the boomer generation: "A President Like My Father" by Caroline Kennedy OVER the years, I’ve been deeply moved by the people who’ve told me they wished they could feel inspired and hopeful about America the way people did when my father was president. This sense is even more profound today. That is why I am supporting a presidential candidate in the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama. etc. please enjoy |

Cooping From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Cooping was a practice by which unwilling participants were forced to vote often several times over for a particular candidate in an election. In 1852, historian J. T. Scharf wrote in Chronicles of Baltimore: "The Reform Association was organized to secure quiet and fairness at the polls, which at this time were scenes of the most disgraceful violence and disorder. In addition to the ordinary acts of intimidation, honest gentlemen as well as unfortunate wretches were frequently seized and 'cooped' in vile dens, drugged, stupefied with whiskey, and then carried round and 'voted' in ward after ward, the police offering no opposition, and the judges receiving the votes."[1]Edgar Allan Poe is thought by some to have been the victim of cooping before his mysterious death in early October, 1849. He was found lying in the streets on election day wearing someone else's clothing in Baltimore, Maryland.[2] Cooping is only one of many theories on Poe's death but is the one depicted in the film The Death of Poe. |

you keep telling yourself whatever you have to to sleep at night. i'm just saying that racism amounts to the refusal to accept empirical evidence when it comes to the issue of skin color. so in the interest of science i present to you a guy who's skin is actually darker than mine, and not like i look with a tan. ![]() and ask the question: is barack obama black? |
i smell Agents of Billary at work...

...i was actually presenting it as an argument for why even the most racist of rednecks should vote for obama over hillary. i.e. "he's not black so it shouldn't even be an issue..." not "he's not even really black and you should vote for a crazy woman." for example, i have paler skin than anyone i know, a french last name and a belgian passport. but genetically i'm half colombian and half belgian. does that make me latino? no. not until i learn to speak spanish and work on my tan on the beaches of costa rica and mexico. which is what i plan to do this summer. |
ha ha. uh?
anyway, apparently im going to dinner somewhere. i should wash. |

You seem to take politics seriously. I am so very sorry. Hillary cried, so rest assured, this racist redneck will be voting for the black one. |

...i take it as seriously as anyone on television takes it... i.e. jon-stewart-serious  i just happen to have to vote in a primary in under 48 hours. |

Super tuesday includes me. I am going to vote. I don't really want to, but i will. And yeah, I am voting for the obama. I still think he might be a pussy, though. Hillary could kick his ass, but she would not suck him off, so that is pretty much unforgiveable. that bitch. |
What a strange post.
