DIALOGUE & BOOKSIGNING
“A Life of Picasso, Volume Three: 1917–1932”
John Richardson’s A Life of Picasso has been called “a monument in the making,” and in this third book of four, the author—a former Slade Professor of Fine Art at Oxford University—sustains the literary élan that characterized his earlier volumes. At The Menil Collection, Richardson will discuss his Picasso biography with Bernice Rose, the museum’s chief curator, responsible for the Drawing Institute and Study Center. Richardson will sign copies of all three volumes of his book following the program.

I want to get that book.

davenotdead 01.28.2008 05:41 PM

...coaching my little brother's basketball team... they didnt win a game last year... so i offered to coach this year, and we're 2-1 now. won our last 2 games after losing the first... they really suck [aside from my brother]. they'd be lost without me

Rob Instigator 01.28.2008 05:48 PM

that sounds like fun dave'snothereman

I bought the first volume of that book when it first came out a long time ago, and read it, and it was awesome. I have the second volume and he has just finioshed his third, which he will be lecturing on tonite. Each volume has taken him at least ten years so hopefully the man lives to finish the 4th book.

the coach is all important.
even just motivation-wise.

EMMAh 01.28.2008 06:05 PM

Probably nothing, I could do something but I don't really feel like it.

Dude, this would be right up my alley. I fucking love the Melvins. seen them six times. This sounds like it would be really cool.

pokkeherrie 01.28.2008 06:53 PM

I enjoyed it a lot and I'm not really a big fan. I don't have any albums of theirs but I've seen them 4 times now and this time was the definitely best. Plus they're playing again here on Wednesday with Keiji Haino (who plays solo tomorrow).

Awesome then we can all get together for a few drinks I'll also let RD know if you haven't already. Lexington is dying, man. Most of downtown is being bought out so they can build some blood clat fancy hotel for the 2010 Equestrian games...

afterthefact 01.28.2008 07:50 PM

Yeah, RD knows that it's a possibility. What is happening to Lex-town? I've noticed a huge commercial growth since I left. Not saying that I'm responsible, but who knows? :)

Disgruntled Youth 01.28.2008 07:52 PM

hell if I know!!! I just live out here. Gotta go peace...

Haha, that reminds me of the time we gave my brother a ton of that stuff and he ended up blowing up my friend's bathroom. Best part was that the toilet wouldn't flush.

Ok, sorry, continue...

Cantankerous 01.28.2008 08:23 PM

musical endeavours, cleaning...really it could go anywhere

flophousefloozie 01.28.2008 08:50 PM
