what's the worst pain (physical) you've ever felt?

When I was walking one day after my operation of a hernia. It felt like knives in my guts, and my groin.

I have not been wired with pain receptors.

Second-degree burn from boiling water over a large section of one of my thighs was pretty bad, especially when changing dressings.

Also, the time when I went over the handlebars mountain biking and severely sprained both arms, bruised several ribs, possible hairline fracture in my shin (plus pulped muscle; I couldn't walk for three weeks), and picking gravel out of my face. That was pretty excruciating.

No scarring, unbelievably.
I took good care of it. No doctor visits, even.

Damn. No sadistic response.

when a car hit my bike and I landed with my chin on the road
when a motorbike hit me and I fell with all my weight on my right knee exactly on a pointy stone, which got under my skin and through the flesh and "gently" knocked the knee bones
when my right knee dislodged becuz a guy tackled me during a soccer game and then got back in position after I fell for the pain.

notice that in both the "driving incidents" it wasn't my fault.

those all happened a few years ago, I grew wiser.
and yes, my right knee is quite messed and unlucky.

i was really hoping for one.

Oh and an ex-bandmate "branded" me with his car key made hot with his lighter, but I kinda enjoyed that pain. I didn't even move. took 4 years for the mark to go away, now it's almost invisible.

actually I kinda am, as long as the "pain" is reserved for my hands. They're durable and I like to test them once in a while.ha ha. I didn't train them just with wanking ha. An ex gf liked to bite their back and then laugh looking at the theetmarks. good ol' days.

This shit is annoying and takes for fucking ever to heal.
Plus it's the guitar hand, and my day job involves a lot of moving of heavy objects.

The interesting thing about memory is that we don't really remember pain, as such. We remember thinking it was an unpleasant experience, and we may have an idea of how to rank the experience in terms of pain, but we don't remember the actual pain itself, can't really recall the intensity of the pain.

I'd have to say probably the worst pain had to be associated with getting kicked in the balls when I was a kid, as well as the good-old slip on the bike bar accident to the balls.

In addition to that, burns--no major ones in my life, thank God, but minor ones hurt like the devil, like from accidentally touching a hot iron or a stovetop.

Beyond that, heartbreak. Plenty of that in my life. Sad gmku. :(

Cracking the back of my skull when I fell of a rooftop and getting stabbed in my left scapula with a scissors.

Um. I think the motorcycle crash and the severely bruised ribs was pretty bad. I could barely breathe for weeks without almost passing out from pain.

Even worse was blowing my knee out. all three times. I spent half of my senior year in high school wearing a full-length leg brace that could not be taken off even to shower. Surgery did not help that much.

I healed up, then blew it out again playing basketball when I was 20.

Thinking about it now makes me kind of want to puke, actually. I still have to have the knee replaced at some point, but I am waiting for the next blow out. It has been eleven years since the last one.

I had a serious infection in my leg from a spider bite. damn thing felt like it was going to melt off, accompanied by terrifying fever, night sweats, nightmares, no sleep, and an awkward pulsation (perhaps in relation to my Wrestless leg syndrome). after three days I finally accepted that it was getting worse not better and went the ER. the doctor there says, good thing you came in, a day later and you probably would have went into a coma. three antibiotic injections into my ass, followed by two of morphine and a handful of vicodin and I forgot all about that seering pain.

ha ha I forgot another thing, I was drinking and having fun at a music festival after the end of the sets, a friend of mine was upset and angry for some reason and kicked a wooden bench, which tilted back and fell right on my right foot toe. It hurted SO much, the nail just popped out when I took off my shoe and sock and the toe was litteraly sprinkling blood. ouch.

Spinal Tap at age 12. I was dizzy for a week straight and they thought I might have spinal m,eningitis and so they had to do a spinal tap. the first time they shoved that giant needle in they missed and hit my vertebrae. I freaked out and started screaming and seating and pissing myself and they had to hold me down with three large orderlies to get the spinal tap in my back correctly.

I was spilt melting sugar, very hot onto the inside of my hand and because it was sticking it wouldn't come off. For a week I had a blister the size of a golf ball in my hand.

I am deathly afraid of any burns

my dad spilled a 10 gallon spaghetti pot of boiling water on his thigh once at a church function. he had grafts. the giant scar never went away

i have had 2 spinal taps. second one, i got infected. got sick... my entire family was gone. they came back 3 weeks later... i was in bed... literally dying...hadn't showered or eaten in 3 weeks. my dad nursed me back to health. best diet ever.

spinal taps suck. and make me want to vomit thinking of it.

i have definitely had worse pain fo sho.

i do not actualy remember the pain of the spinal taps.

I know my mom said I shat and pissed myself because of it though.

Hmmm that is a tough one.

Well there was the time that I cut up my knee really bad falling on some gravel.

Then there was that time that I put a pitchfork through my toe

Then there was that time that I fell down on the porch steps and landed on my back

Then there were the multiple times when my anus was on fire after eating really spicy food the night before

Then there was the time I went to the hospital to get my eye biopsied. Having to sit still while someone rips out a piece of your cornea doesn't feel very good.

I'd say one of those.

i dropped into a halfpipe and didnt lean forward enough... i landed right on my tailbone and felt a hot shock go through every inch of my body... i stood still for 30 seconds thinking i was paralyzed. walked away but havent been to a skate park since.

i got 2nd degree burns on the tops of my feet one day...i guess for not wearing sun lotion... couldnt walk for 2 days, and i could hardly sleep.

was on a trampoline with a fat chick once, and i flipped over when she bounced me an landed halfway on my ankle... i think it was just a severe sprain but i had it wrapped tightly for days and i could hardly walk on it.

then i went to a Costa Rican jungle for a few days...came home with nothing wrong, and then a month later i get these puss-filled boils on my forearms... they were disgusting... size of golfballs, filled with puss. itched but i couldnt itch them... after a few weeks i jumped into a river from a diving board, and smacked my forearms on the surface of the water... the boils exploded and that saltwater burned the open wounds, but 2 days later i felt great

I was fighting with one of my bro's once, and he stabbed me in the leg.

When I was little I was running around the house and slipped on our wood floor and smashed my head on a cupboard door. Needed to drive 25 min to the hospital with a 2.5 inch gouge out of my skull. Needed 7 staples.

Shit that sucks bad. My step-mom spilt a pan of hot grease on her arms, can't rememebr if she still has the scars. I've been burned so many times I can almost say i'm used to it. I often cook shirtless. I used to burn my finger tips with a lighter so it wouldn't hurt when I played guitar. I can play fucking hard and it doesn't hurt a bit, my fretting hand atleast. And a side note on the scars, I don't seem to get long term scars, I've got one on my finger from a knife cut, but I crashed my face into a chain link fence and most of the scars were gone in a couple of weeks.

what did you do to the guy who pushed you?

i broke my collarbone when i was 8, but i didn't cry because it didn't hurt that bad, i just couldn't move my arm right after and i was confused. never broken any other bones.
actually it hurt really bad when that wiimote chipped my tooth.
i'm not that succeptible to pain however i'm in quite a bit of pain at the moment but i'm handling it.
