the concept just isnt maliable enough to hold my attention though.

krastian 02.26.2008 09:05 PM

It's a shame about your boy Yao, though.

Everyneurotic 02.26.2008 09:20 PM

well deserved.

uhler 02.26.2008 09:20 PM

i see he dunked over shawn kemp. what ever happen to him? i remember he was amazing in the early-mid 90's then during the strike he got really fat and got about 26 kids. then a few years ago he gets arrested for crack. i wonder what he's doing now.

Rob Instigator 02.27.2008 09:49 AM

my man Yao got hurt. big men have foot issues and knee issues. Hope he can come back full strength next year. he was tearing shit UP!

fugazifan 02.27.2008 12:05 PM

i grew up not far from the b-ball hall of fame.

I know, man!! They've won what, 13 straight? Even without Yao, they put the beat down on my Wizards last night....well, it was the Wizards, but still. If Dikembe can help control the paint and rebound well then they should still make the playoffs....Rafer Alston has been playing really good and T-Mac is T-Mac. Adelman should keep it together.

Rob Instigator 02.27.2008 01:36 PM

man, he's still amazing. he must have smoked some fountain of youth weed while he was in africa.

krastian 02.27.2008 01:40 PM

Yeah, I was thinking about picking Dikembe up for blocks, boards, and FG% for a couple of my fantasy teams, but I don't really have anybody that I can drop.....I'll have to see how he plays the rest of the week.

Rob Instigator 02.27.2008 01:42 PM

dikembe is 42

he's probably the oldest basketball player playing right now. i know there's an older one but i don't think he's playing right now.

i remember hearing something that we don't know his real age. he will never reveal it or something.

krastian 02.27.2008 01:50 PM

Julio Franco is 49 and is the oldest player in MLB history to ever hit a homerun. As of now, I'm pretty sure he hasn't signed a contract to play again this year. He was an awesome player back in the day with the glorious Braves teams of the early 90's. He also has one of the greatest batting stances ever.

Rob Instigator 02.27.2008 02:00 PM

The sad truth is that there are so few quality big men playing in the NBA that the services of Dikembe Mutombo are in high demand.

Hence the reason why the Trail Blazers picked Oden over Durant who has mad skills. Big men win championships. I hope Shaq can get it together in Phoenix....they've looked horrible since trading Marion, who in my opinion, is the best ALL AROUND player in the NBA.

krastian 02.27.2008 02:33 PM

Anthony Carter needs to get it together....another one of my fantasy players.
