fuck smoking. i just quit for good today. it happened thus:

this past saturday, finding myself deficient in mental focus, i bought a pack of marlboro reds for therapeutic use. i smoked one on the way home, then smoked none on sunday, then today i had one after my coffee in the morning.

come the afternoon my brain was still unhinged, so i lit up another smoke and deeply inhaled. i normally just inhale lightly.

i got sick and fucking nauseous. had to get to bed, i was feeling so sick.

i trashed the fucking smokes and i'll never smoke again.

incidentally, i smoked malb reds instead of luckies said saturday.

the prices in the UK are fucking outrageous. they do have great little warning labels though.

this may seem like a real mom thing to say but if you haven't started by now, don't start ever because the possible health problems are well documented and it's expensive and whatnot.

in the US about $3.50 averagely? here it's wayyyy more than that but in most american cities i think it's about that much.
in the UK it's like $10 or $11 US.

marlboro lights are somewhere around £3.50, when i occasionally smoke it's roll-ups now, tobacco and papers come to about £4 and you'll get 30+ cigerettes.

i think the smoking ban in new york is stupid though. at least fucking have a smoking section so we don't freeze our asses off outside in the winter or sweat our balls off in the summer. "but your smoke still gets in our section, whine whine whine". okay so close off the smoking section. BAM. problem solved.

it bothers me sometimes, especially at some concerts.

here some places have some sort of "air recycling barriers" that keep the air from a room ro get into the other room, with no "material" barriers between the smokers/non smokers sections. I can't explain it better, but it works.

Fuck you, you should be fined heavily for every pack of cigs. $10 a pack isn't enough to take care of the crap that you all do to fuck up the world.

Oh I know. I find it funny that when I'm completely down and out I have more money than smokers I know who have jobs.

If it weren't for fast food, cigarettes, and bottled drinks there would be very little in the way of litter.

I am on a sabbatical from smoking this month. I decided to do this because I'm pissed of with the cunting prices of tabs, and need to see if I can have an economical sabbatical. So for I've managed alright, not smoked since the 1st, and I still have a few fags worth of shag if I cave. I've only been slightly frantic, and that was calmly diffused upon work sorts.

The problem is that I'd like to be able to smoke 6 months on, 6 months off (i.e., in the summer); I think, given the smoking ban, my days of all-year smoking are over. I'll enjoy it all the more come the summer.

to all those who are pro-cigarette ban:

i feel bothered by stupidity, stupidity causes more pain and death than cigarette smoke and since i find stupidity offensive, i demand that stupid people be not let into any closed building i may be inside at the time.

let's wreck everyone's freedom.

I pay $7.70 Canadian for a pack of 25. I know people who spend over $10.

oh yeah, i pay $25 pesos for a pack of 20, it's kinda like around $3 u.s. dollars.
