Sweet hauls, everybody.

I bought this poster off of moik who used to run the evol.org site....great guy!! This poster is huge, I love it.

Sonic Youth “product avalanche” - this is a poster released by Blast First after the release of Daydream Nation, and features all the Sonic Youth Blast First products: Daydream Nation, Evol, & Bad Moon Rising in vinyl, cassette, and the new technology: CD!

Those are not the actual albums on the poster - the albums are pictured on the poster.

This is a poster that I bought from a guy who used to work at Blast First, the company that used to release Sonic Youth before Geffen and after SST. I brought the posters to a Sonic Youth show about ten years ago, back when I used to do a Sonic Youth website called evol.org, and had them sign the posters for me. These auction posters have been rolled up in my closet (actually they were in the “secret room” behind my closet, for the past ten years.)

This poster is pretty big; it measures 60” x 39.5”. It has been rolled up for about twenty years (unrolled probably only to be signed) and there is some wear on some of the edges where it was rolled. In the picture it looks more wavy than it really is, I just didn’t have enough weight on it when I photographed it. It would look great if it were framed.

In the photos I rolled the poster out on a carpet and held the corners down with some paperbacks. I think you ought to be able to see the signatures - they are all there (Thurston, Lee, Kim, & Steve)

On the bottom of the poster it says:

LIVE wed 22nd thurs 23rd MARCH @ KILBURN NATIONAL give us a kiss

That would make this poster from 1989.

Awesome footage!!!

Ha ha ha....I've been looking for this forever!!

Not quite as funny as it was when I was 15 and stoned....still pretty insane though.

krastian 03.21.2008 11:56 AM

More crap....

Here is a partial list of some of the films on these tapes.

Oasis of the Zombies, Beast of Yucca Flats, The Thing with 2 Heads, 4 Skulls of Jonathan Drake, Eaten Alive, Delirium, Cut & Run, These are the Dammed, The Boogens, Demons 3, The Hypnotic Eye, Scream of Fear, The Mutations,(AKA The Freakmaker), Astro Zombies, The Witch Who Came From The Sea, Dr. Jekyll and the Werewolf,
and many others.

Unsure of the complete contents of all tapes so please preview before letting children use them.

My sister's like, "You know we're going to have to through away all this crap away when you die, right?" Ha ha ha.

Yeah, yeah....I'm a dork.

...and a bunch of other shit.

CHOUT 03.23.2008 05:26 PM

I had my eye on that auction...there used to be a record store here that had that poster years ago and I haven't seen it since.
