most stuff on domino was licenced from labels abroad and i don't count that stuff, so i can only think of third eye foundation and flying saucer attack. i'm pretty sure to rococo rot were on city slang though.

sarramkrop 04.03.2008 04:36 AM

They release stuff on a number of labels, that's what makes it tricky. They are technically more of a City Slang band because, I think, they have put out more stuff for them than Geographic.

Toilet & Bowels 04.03.2008 04:40 AM

ok, i've never really followed geographic, i like tenniscoats (maher shalal dude's wife's band) but i don't know if they're on geographic

actually, i just checked that out, reiko kudo, isn't in tenniscoats, but there is some connection between them and maher

They were on tv last week. They're not my thing but I kind of like that song they played.

ZEROpumpkins 04.03.2008 04:45 AM

Hell yes, GBV!

_slavo_ 04.03.2008 04:45 AM

This used to be one of my favourite labels back in the days.

yeah, Hood and To Rococo Rot and Aerial M and FSA ... good times.

And Ganger! That was an awesome band too.

I have some records by Ganger but I kind of find them a bit dull.

ZEROpumpkins 04.03.2008 04:49 AM

Thanks very much for those Synths, Slavo, but one of them is just fill of zip files and it confused the hell out of me. The rest are top stuff though, especially Predator.

yes, Predator is the shit. Nice that you can use it as a separate effect unit while using a different VST, too.

Jools Holland is evil. I don't really watch much tv because it's mostly crap. I do like DIY and LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION type of stuff, though. In a perverse way.

HE is evil personified but he has good bands on every once in awhile.
i don't watch much television either because as you said, it's mostly crap. you poor people have got that show "cash in the attic" don't you? something like that? that show makes me consider suicide.

Gosh, I do watch that too sometimes! I prefered it when they had that other woman presenting it, what was her name? And the Jeremy Kyle show too.
Watching them gives me some sort of sick joy.

i haven't really seen the jeremy kyle show, but from what i gather it plumbs the depths that even trisha considers too low

Have you seen Vanity Lair, it's the most awesome program in the world right now?

sarramkrop 04.03.2008 05:43 AM

Is that the one when they are all inside that house and they are beautiful people? If that's the one, yes, I have watched it and like it in very perverse kind of way too. Nobody in that house is really beautiful, they are all mostly ugly and thick. Did you see when they had to eliminate one and they chose to get rid off the rapper from south london? He was one of the few who I found attractive.

yeah, that's the one, did you see the episode when the guy puked on the dinner table because he had the least symmetrical face?

anyway, one of the girls is very good looking, and there's one who is a glamour model who i found shockingly attractive when she took her extensions out and all her make up off, and just wore jeans & a t-shirt.

Cantankerous 04.03.2008 05:51 AM

oh no, what show is this?

i have to watch this.

Vanity Lair, it's 10 "beautiful" people in a house and every week one gets voted out for being not good looking enough, they have to do tests to prove how attractive they are and stuff

Cantankerous 04.03.2008 05:58 AM

on channel 4?
some of these folks seriously arent too attractive.

Yes! That was a top moment. Do you like the black girl who came on top when they did the IQ test? She's actually one of the few pretty looking girls I was thinking of. The presenter is not bad either, in fact. The thing is, if they'd choose more flattering clothes, make up and hair extensions to wear, some of them wouldn't be too bad. It's that spiky-haired look that some of the guys sport that is plain wrong.

Let alone attractive, I have been at pain trying to find out what is nice to the eye about quite a few of them.
