Is Obama shitting us or is he the real deal?
Some of the stuff he says sounds way to good to be coming from the mouth of a politician.
|
He is, I am thinking of joining him now. Now that the Clinton boat is burning on the ocean. If you can't beat them join them.
edit- However I think any remnants of Nixon are dissolving for this generation. That is why you have many kids of our generation voting in his favor, because watergate means nothing to us. That is an issue of our parents and their parents. We are more optimistic than that in a way. Also we are more clueless. |
I trust Obama. He seems like a pretty decent guy. Especially when compared to Bush.

Yeah, or even when compared to Hilary. He's certainly not a former Wal-mart board member who's husband brought us NAFTA claiming to be for the workers and the middle class. I don't majorly distrust him, which is about as good as it gets for a politician. He is a politician, and he does have a machine behind him, but I do buy that he is personally a person with ethics. The most inspiring thing about him though, is that he doesn't really come off as a milk-toast liberal who won't fight for anything, while pandering to the wrong side. That puts him miles ahead of the usual fare the Democratic nomination process produces, Kerry being a perfect example. |
Yeah I agree with dead-air.

we're just used to rat fucker politicians. he's smart, and not a rat fucker, so he sounds "too good to be true", but in fact we should expect no less of "our leaders" or what have you (i hate the term "our leaders", but anyway). obama is a good liberal who's willing to work with the opposition to bring about needed change. his backgroud is as a civil rights lawyer and a community organizer and a harvard law review president-- he could have had any job he wanted but he went to organize poor people in chicago. is he a saint? no, and we shouldn't expect him to be, or we'll be disappointed. actually, even "saints" are humans. ghandi (though not officially a "saint") had a terrible temper with his family. my point is obama is not perfect so don't expect him to be, but he's as decent and competent a candidate we're getting in decades, so this is a once in a lifetime chance. come on mr. pennsylvania, we need your vote. and btw if you get in the campaign you'll do great. |
I hear there's mad trim in campaign volunteering.
|
politicians will say anything to get into a positin of power.
|
Barack Obama is a perfect mix of dark and light and for the entire time he was a politician before he ran for senate he would never ever take priovate flights. he flew regular class with regular people becasuse he felt and feels that to separate onesseklf from the regular people as a politician is the single worst disservice you can do to your constituents. which is TOTALLY TRUE

I would think that using mustard gas on your constituents would be worse. No? |
The truth is Obama is the lesser of two evils. We all agree that Hillary would be awful for President of this country, just look at what her husband did. & if you stop to think for a sec. you'd realize that only Bush's & Clinton's have been in the White House for 28 years, when George H. W. Bush was VP w/ Reagan. Now to Obama, he is a CFR member (Council on Foreign Relations), they are basically the ones who decide our foreign affairs, such as WAR, behind closed doors & w/out the conscent of the American people. & even Obama has said, he would NOT withdrawl ALL troops immediately. Even though that's what the people want. Obama is also a supporter of the NAU (North American Union). The NAU is a partnership between Mexico, United States, & Canada. Basically, NAFTA expanded. Completely wiping out the soveriegnty of 3 seperate nations. & Obama's campaign slogan, "Change", that's basically telling you, "More of the same"
The only real choice for President, which are sworn to uphold the Constitution is Ron Paul. He is the only candidate who has repeatedly stated that the Constitution is ALWAYS the basis for every political decision he makes. Oh, & one more thing, we are a REPUBLIC, not a democracy. So, when you hear these Neo-Con scum say that are promoting democracy for these countries, get mad & realize the difference between a Republic & Democracy. |
actually, during bill clinton;s presidency, the economy was robust, we had a multi billion doll;ar surplus in government, we were admired by foreighn nations and peoples, we helped Bosnia, social service sin the USA were at an all time high, life was actually quite good.
and it all went downhill cuz he likes fatgirls slobbing his knob. |
I don't remember much of the Clinton Presidency, however, I do remember a good economy. I think that is why he is more liked than Hillary.

There are some documentaries on Clinton's Presidency that would enlighten you RI, & anyone not informed. Go to Youtube & search, "The Clintons Exposed" There are many reasons Y Clinton was a disgrace to the Oval Office. Countless murders, gave Top Secret military information to the Communist China, illegaly wire-tapped millions of private phone calls, which later gave way to the wire-tapping policies that the NSA now use. |
oh and btw welcome back marleypumpkin. we haven't seen you in ages!

Many thanks !@#$%. Sorry, I had to get emotional on the other thread, but that should show you how serious I am about regaining basic Rights & Freedoms for ALL. |
I'm going to vote for Obama, I'm a supporter. I just get that uneasy feeling because he happens to be a politician.
|
!@#$% knows the score, Marleypumpkin addressed the issue, but none are radical enough to accept the truth. presidents are puppets and figureheads, as are most politicians in a supposedly "representative democracy". the reality is that nameless, faceless individuals run the show, behind the scenes, and dictate from the inside out what the score will be in the future. Is obama going to make any sort of difference? no, only superficially. the system will continue on as ever.
the system is too fucked up for us to be reactionary, up yr game. |
the real president of the USA for the past 8 years has been Dick Cheney.
|
I'm pretty sure that if Obama tried to shit any of us, he'd end up with anal fissures (it's passing the shoulders that does it).

i agree. in addition, elections in representative democracies are, for the most part, nothing more than PR wars. There was a poll in 2004 that asked voting americans what had influenced their vote and only 7% said that the candidate's stance on "issues" had influenced their vote. |

Basically a staged pageant. It's mostly about, whose more electable. Excuse my french, it's BULL-SHIT! |
You're all invited to my 1000 post party!

woohoo

That's very true. |
political elections corral popular sovereignty, and further they divide the population into camps, specifically around "who is gonna win" shit. but prophecy is truth, "divide and rule could only tear us appart, but in every man chest there beats a heart, so soon we'll find out who is, the real revolutionary, cuz I don't want my people to be contrary..."
|
|
quick answer: shitting us.
long answer: he's really really fucking shitting us. |
