Mexican Emo Riots
I don't know if anyone posted about this yet.
According to a bunch of news sources, Mexican Emo kids are getting their asses kicked by metalheads and punks. It all seems to stem from homophobia. Personally I have trouble understanding not fighting back. http://blog.wired.com/underwire/2008...emo-riots.html if you do a google search you'll find lots more articles. ![]() |
quiet riot.

Nothing says "I'm tough" like beating up a bunch of gay kids that are just trying to chill......if that is in fact the case.

so, what yr trying to say is, emo is gay. noted. |
The deal is that mexican punks and mexican metal heads are HARDCORE
when the Ramones played Mexico City over 70 THOUSAND punks met up and walked together as a march to the arena where the Ramones were to play, chanting "Ramone's! Ra-Mo-NES!" I think they are beating up the emo kids not because of homosexuality. most emos are not gay. they are beating up on the emo kids because EMO IS PUSSY SOFT STUPID SHIT! and I fucking KNOW that there are a ton of american metal heads and punks that shold have started asswhuppin some emo fucks about 8 years ago but decided against it. Mexicans take it to the max! fuck the emo pussies! |
Either way, they are the real "pussies."
Who cares what people listen to?!?! |
I would like to point out at this juncture that Rob is a big Morrissey fan.
|
Ha ha ha.
|
wow! first time in my life I have been called a jock
and I love morrissey with all my heart. long live the mexican freedom fighters. freedom from pathetic ass emo bands. |
I still don't understand what all this mascara and hair dye has to do with all that hippie post-rock shit in the 80's.
|
this band should be beaten though
http://youtube.com/watch?v=JA4W1EwtyRM "to hip to even clean your nose out!" |
emo is just a word for love songs sung by a band that LOOK hardcore, but is in fact, just a bunch of crybaby assholes whining about how their last girlfriend didn;t love them enough. fucking pussy bitches. To quote Geto Boys , "I yelled 'Die Motherfuckers!' as I blasted"

who is using ridiculous peripheral nonsense to judge now huh? |
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Rob Instigator again.
I loved the first rant and wish I was in that Ramones march. I saw the Ramones so many times that I lost count. It was easy since I lived right outside NYC. I've only seen Sonic Youth more times. |
And I must add that emo fashion really only works for suburbanite WASP teenagers with webcams. Everyone in that first picture look awful.
|
do what? use the words "pussy soft bitch?" "take it to thethe max?" you do not see the obvious humor (attempted?)
that's just descriptive words. I love the reply in the comments section of that article where some guy wrote "Good, now that will give them something REAL to cry about." mods & rockers disco & rockers punks & jocks. whatever. |
I find it quite ironic these clearly excruciatingly poorly-endowed metallers and punks are beating up Emos for homophobic reasons when the town they live in is basically called 'Queertaro'. Oh. Dear.
|
"They're organizing to defend their right to be emo."
That did make me laugh though. |

yeah. of course i don't agree with anyone beating up anyone for no real reason, but that quote made me laugh so hard i almost cried. |

who told you this lie? the ramones came only once to mexico city in 1993 or 94, they played a fucking closet and if i tell you that 70 persons saw them, it's probably an overestimation; seriously, there was probably 100 kids in all. i remember not going because i thought the ramones were too cutesy and very gutless plus i was like 12 and i was not going to go to a really shitty part of the city to see a corny band. i assure you, nobody saw the ramones when they came, all the hipster who love them now, all the "punk" bands who list them as influence, none of them saw the ramones. their fans were the albaņiles, construction workers who were their shirts and spend their weekends sniffing glue and going to urban rock shows. these are the hardcore people. seriously rob, you're thinking argentina, they played their last show ever there in a stadium. i know a few punks here, i know a bunch of metalheads here, and they are as pussy as the emos. some punks do squat and are all crusty and shit, but most of them are just doing it for the fashion, metalheads are pretty much dumb and one-dimensional, a great chunk of them are quite nice guys having fun watching bands and headbanging. i've been to tons of metal shows wearing non-metal bands' shirts and no one has ever given me shit, gone to shows with short hair and no one minding...i remember one time some people were complaining that some asshole was drunk to the point of crying and started to piss all over the people in the mosh pit, and they just threw him out of the pit. funny thing, i heard it was the punks and the goths kicking the junior high emos' asses. this is just very stupid and blown out of proportion...in fact 90% of the mexican population don't know what emo is and that includes the emos. |
i stand corrected sir!
gangs of kids will always fight gangs of different looking kids |

nous sommes tout les emos mexicaines

Quote:
i think emo started when the first vocal performances by any singer or whatever was ever sung. i mean all music/words have emotion right? aside maybe from kraftwerk or daft punk. |
soy un perdedor.

Quote:
you do know that in nearly every single smiths and morrissey song, Morrissey is MAKING FUN of people? |
emo as a music genre is as false as "grunge"
it is just ex-goths trying to rock. it is hard for them. we should take it easy on them. I have chenged my tune. let the emo sad sacks live. |
Goth started out rocking pretty hard. It just evolved into lameness is all.
|
Oh, so that's where they all migrated to...Mexico

and anime conventions. I see em all the time. |

in all truth, it didn't matter because all of morrissey's and smith's fans took what he said to heart, thus making personal lyrics and spawning rites, embrace, ignition, etc. kinda like venom, they were kidding about being satanic and insulting priests and stuff, but then later bands actually were inspired to burn churchs because of venom's jokes. ---- it's kinda weird, when people say emo is bland and pussy and soft and sad, and i remember people used to call heroin and antioch arrow emo and they are some of the hardest punk bands in history. makes me think, really. |
Quote:
I think quite a lot of smiths fans get the joke man. |
Quote:
heroin and antioch arrow, I have only ever heard them described as that stupid term "screamo" just sounded like hardcore to me. |
