abridged...
Mike Watt ( @ the Engine Room in Houston. Probably 2000ish. This was the first show I ever went to on my own. Funny thing: a then completely unknown band called Hella opened the show. I think there were only about 7 or 8 other people in the audience at the time. I bought their first CD-R which came wrapped in Kodak photo paper with number stickers stuck on it. I wonder if it's worth any $$$ now? ) Skip eight or so years... LSD March a few weeks ago. On Monday maybe this: JACKIE-O MOTHERFUCKER Jim O'Rourke Vs. Merzbow Vampillia with Tujiko Noriko |
darn i wish i'd kept up saving all my tickets. this year: health, pre, holy fuck, devastations, blonde redhead, these new puritans, kills, public enemy, dr octagon, bomb squad. sure there's more but i can't think.

1993 - guns n' roses last: last night - times new viking if i had to make a list of ALL bands i've seen it would consist of hundreds of names, if not over a thousand. just in the first five months of 2008 so far i must've seen about 70 (international) bands/artists already, including festivals and support acts, etc. |
guns n roses were shit by 93. i pity you and toilette.
|
thanks.
i was young and foolish. support acts were the cult and soul asylum. most kids in my class weren't allowed to go by their parents (it was 2-3 hours away by train), but my mom was the coolest so i went together with a friend. |

hahahahahaha. i wanted to go and mom tried to get me tickets but, and this is when ticketmaster started here, the lines where blocked from people buying them and when she finally got an answer, the show was sold out. a few years later i thought that perhaps it was for the better, i'd hate to see them with chicks singing backups and the three hour solos in between songs.
