I've been good. I got kicked out of treatment for getting my rocks off with another patient. I was there for like 117 days. Bullshit, eh? I was almost done. I'm living in the suburbs smoking cigarettes and trying to get a job.

Oooh and I went because I flatlined. I was being all emo and trying to drown my sorrows in alcohol and downers and I nearly didn't make it. Pity I did, right? Is tanky around?

Well, it's been pretty fun and lively here. Cantanky's been keeping us updated on her European tour, Rob Instigator's been posting huge amounts of pics of hot women, jennthebenn wrote some hilariously funny fake Thurston Moore poetry, Kegmama's got the busiest social life of anyone I know, Glice & porky & demonrail are still larging it up, and the past week, it's been all about the Birthday Party and the Runaways. As far I remember, no-one's got married/divorced/had kids as far as I'm aware, but that aside, it's all been good fun.

I just figured Hayden was in rehab or perhaps county jail.

Hayden, don't become one of the people that has to hit rock bottom before they decide to get on with their life.

Alcohol is an especially debilitating and addictive drug and it's far too dangerous to use in combination with other substances.

Even when you get bored and are feeling restless, just remember and be thankful for all the good things and what you have going for you.

I wonder if you are working. I suppose you're too young right now to get a job someplace like, I don't know, forgive me, but maybe a hair salon. I wonder if you would consider doing some landscaping or gardening work, maybe at some of your neighbors' homes. Perhaps they have some equipment you can use, or maybe your parents do.

Rehabilitation centers can be of assistance with instilling the gravity of one's situation and instruction regarding coping strategies can be passed along, but I think there are inherent dangers as well. A lot of people that are also there for treatment tend to talk about using substances all the time. The same constant negativity tends to often brainwash those in jails and prisons.

In programs like AA and NA there are a certain amount of these types too who are usually only there because they've been court-ordered. Others are there for sincere reasons. Just realize that it's paramount that you choose your friends and those you associate with wisely. Counseling and fellowship programs definitely can and do work, but one's measure of success is intrinsically dependent on the degree of your own desire and readiness for lasting change.

Personally, I think that hard work requiring some level of physical exertion can help to meditatively manage cravings and be beneficial in making a transition to a healthier approach to life.

Some big changes have come my way over recent months and I've been coming to terms with genuinely accepting them accordingly. I'm still having troubles trying to manage and then quit cigarettes.

As usual I've gone and written too much. It's just that there are people who care about you, and I'm one of them too. Sorry for the preachiness and sappiness, and feel better soon. Hopefully, I haven't embarrassed myself or you too much.
