Favorite MBV song?

from Isn't Anything- I'm sort of stuck between You Never Should and Sueisfine

from Loveless- Sometimes

racehorse 05.30.2006 03:52 PM

It's really hard to choose, but i'm gonna go with
"To Here Knows When", but the version off the tremelo ep, as the outro is just shoegaze at it's best. it's just sublime

pantophobia 05.30.2006 04:07 PM

Feed Me With Your Kiss

jon boy 05.30.2006 04:18 PM

Flen flyys 05.30.2006 04:25 PM

Come in Alone

finding nobody 05.30.2006 04:52 PM

mbv is really really neat. i remember my first time hearing it. i was just like "what? my headphones must be messed up, i cant hear it good"

to here knows when is my favorite

SonikJesus 05.30.2006 05:02 PM

"I Only Said" or "Soon." I can't decide.

m^a(t)h 05.30.2006 06:06 PM

To Here Knows When, Im going to have to pick up that Tremelo EP....

Neongod 05.30.2006 07:17 PM

FMWYKiss and I Only Said.

Anyone on Slsk have Tremelo and Glider? I can't find them ANYWHERE...legal or otherwise.

Pax Americana 05.30.2006 07:46 PM

Hmmm... Probably "I Only Said"

IntoTheGroovey 05.30.2006 08:43 PM

Sometimes.

Savage Clone 05.30.2006 10:06 PM

I'm also going with the Tremolo EP version of To Here Knows When.

Daycare Nation 05.30.2006 10:18 PM

Loomer

darthblav 05.30.2006 11:43 PM

Did anyone here "lose my breath" by Deerhoof?

I just download their free ep off the website and I am quite impressed. I really have never been a deerhoof fan, but being a big MBV fan I think they do the song justice.

RockerNino 05.31.2006 12:10 AM

from isnt anything- you never should
from loveless- blown a wish

saoq 05.31.2006 12:34 AM

it's easy. When You Sleep. the lyric/chord-change/overall production combination of the first two lines:

When I look at you
Oh, I dont know what's (true)

is the best thing ever. it's just too much.

_slavo_ 05.31.2006 01:49 AM

LOOMER without any question.

diamondsea 05.31.2006 07:16 AM

Only Shallow
Sometimes
Soon

very hard to choose...
but Only Shallow is too much special
definitely

Trasher02 05.31.2006 07:43 AM

Sometimes

Signpost 05.31.2006 11:34 AM

Everything from Loveless except the third track. But if i had to choose only one that would be Only Shallow.

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 05.31.2006 01:03 PM

Whaaaaat?

How do you not like touched?

For me it sounds like some kind of outtake which appeared on that album by mistake. IMO it doesn't fit.

There is supposed to be boxed set sometime.

Phlegmscope 05.31.2006 07:21 PM

Cupid Come, the first song I loved from the band.

The 97th Hammer 06.01.2006 12:24 AM

Lose My Breath or No More Sorry, it's hard to choose though. Drive it All Over me from You Made Me Realize is a great song too. I wish they would get around to properly compiling the OOP EPs.

PAULYBEE2656 06.01.2006 06:02 AM

im always ondecided so its a tie between "sometimes"- the most beautiful soneg ever recorded by humans
and "slow"- a song that actually changes the time signature of the universe

although the full length "glider" is pretty damn close too

AllHandsOnTheBigOne 06.01.2006 12:00 PM

That's too fucking difficult. They were such a fantastic band with so many fantastic songs.

Ecstasy and Wine EP - "You've Got Nothing", "Strawberry Wine", "(Please) Lose Yourself in Me"
Isn't Anything? - "Lose My Breath", "Nothing Much to Lose", "I Can See It (But I Can't Feel It)"
Glider EP - "Off Your Face"
Tremolo EP - "Honey Power", "Swallow"
Loveless - "Sometimes", "Loomer", "Touched"

I disagree. It fits perfectly. "Soon" is the only song that feels somewhat out of place on Loveless.

trainyard bliss 06.01.2006 12:14 PM

"sometimes"

i remember pure ecstasy when i first saw lost in translation and this song started playing. i don't think i've ever felt so deeply connected to something that wasn't human like i was then.

m^a(t)h 06.01.2006 02:25 PM

Wasnt touched actually all written by the drummer in MBV. If so thats great...

soapbars 06.01.2006 04:34 PM
