Two Bands that Sound Almost Identical

Apart from inevtable stuff like where key members start another band.

I thought about it and it wasn't as easy as I'd imagined.

The Ryes and Pulp.

I've only ever heard one song by the Ryes - something with a girl's name in the title - but I was convinced throughout that I was listening to Pulp.

Distorted Pony sounds like Shellac , especially the drum.

atsonicpark 08.12.2008 07:48 AM

Well, I meant their first ep, sounds identical to Big Black, same drum machine and all.

Their later stuff sounds more Rapemany I guess.

Ripchord 08.12.2008 10:01 AM

Flogging Molly and the Dropkick Murphys. THE SAME.

mangajunky 08.12.2008 10:22 AM

A Place to bury strangers = Disco Inferno

with the only exception that A place to bury strangers have a bit more skronk. But the melodies are basically the same.

mangajunky 08.12.2008 10:46 AM

how about two Linkin Park songs that sound so identical that one can play out of one speaker and one can play out of another:

I hate that fucking band.

Florya 08.12.2008 11:11 AM

demonrail666 08.12.2008 11:47 AM

Live Skull sounded pretty identical to SY for a while.

HaydenAsche 08.12.2008 11:51 AM

Bayside and Alkaline Trio have the same voice.

Green Magnesium 08.12.2008 03:39 PM

Aww, I like Alkaline Trio. Nice pop music.

Who is Bayside?

SYRFox 08.12.2008 03:48 PM

Not to defend the band in any way, but you can do that with a lot of popular music. They even slowed down the left one.

MellySingsDoom 08.12.2008 04:19 PM

Primal Scream circa "Sonic Flower Groove" and The Stone Roses circa their first LP.
