I have a distaste for Guns N Roses, and it's not that they're "uncool" to like in indie circles or whatever elitist bullshit, I just find no enjoyment in their music at all.

I loved GnR when I was in high school. appetite for destruction brought the RAWK bombast edge back to rock n roll. It is a great album.

GNR Lies was even cool

but I never bought the Use Yr Illusions. I hated their slickness by then, they sounded more like queen than GNR

I think they have a one good song, the rest of the stuff is just..how should I put it? shit. I've always liked Duff's style of playing the bass, seems like a cool rocknroll guy.

I like Mr. Brownstone because it's the song I remember the most from them playing at the Texas Monsters of Rock Jam ('89??). Axl wasn't happy with the monitor so he had some sort of sissy-fit about it.

I was laughing most of the way through their set (I was there for INXS).

GnR blew the lid off of the LA Rock/metal scene. They showed how to truly DO IT. Then they became bloated , axl lost his hairline, and eventually just succumbed to their own bullshit.
