Aladdin Sane-era Bowie.

akprodr 10.15.2008 09:15 PM

Last year I was a TV engineer. This year I'll probably be an unemployed TV engineer.

Dead-Air 10.15.2008 10:19 PM

I'll be the man holding the baby skeleton.

Sonic Youth 37 10.16.2008 12:42 AM

As I'm going to a show on Halloween, I'll just be me. But if I decide/need to dress up another night, I'll be Cool Hand Luke.

atsonicpark 10.16.2008 01:08 AM

i'll be a sonic youth fan.

Death & the Maiden 10.16.2008 04:57 AM

I hate Halloween. Because all these annoying kids come to our house and expect food. And it's an American tradition, not an Australian one.

ploesj 10.16.2008 05:05 AM

i might go to some stupid halloween party and have a reason to dress up as roadkill (always wanted to do that)

but id feel pretty stupid because its not a tradition here. maybe i'll just dress as roadkill on a random day, for fun.

StevOK 10.16.2008 08:44 PM

I have a priest costume that I will wear if I feel too lazy to make a Rimmer costume.

Not really, but I am of the very lazy persuasion.

Yeah, I may go as an emo kid this year, just because it's easy enough to do. I'm not cool enough to think up good costume ideas.

the ikara cult 10.17.2008 04:42 PM

Obama with a tie-dyed swastika tshirt

DeadDiscoDildo 10.17.2008 05:02 PM

Surely combining the two is the order of the day

DeadDiscoDildo 10.17.2008 05:16 PM

...but...how?

the ikara cult 10.17.2008 05:19 PM

Buddy Delarge!
Horn Rimmed Glasses and a phallic prosthetic nose, together at last!

I was an emo kid two years ago at halloween, but I actually was an emo kid the year before. It didn't suck for me at all, I had 2 girls glued to me the whole party.

I might try Sarah Palin this year if I can find a nice enough swimsuit.

alteredcourse 10.21.2008 09:39 PM

I'm this guy!! Found every piece at a second hand store today. The purple pants were the score.

pbradley 10.21.2008 09:53 PM

Are you going to make the mask?

I wish I could go as Rorschach but I have a feeling it would cost too much and be too hard to find.

alteredcourse 10.21.2008 10:11 PM

The basics for him really easy.

Today at a thrift store I lucked out and everything came to me. Costume complete in 2.5 minutes. I found:

-trenchcoat (at first i couldnt find this in the mens section and i started to get worried because I figured it would be the easiest. But one turned up in the womens section for way cheaper.)

-brown fedora
-awesome black dress shoes
-bold purple pants (what I thought would be trickiest, because for one im a woman and finding pants that fit is hard enough, let alone bold purple ones.)

-white stocking for the mask to trace inkblot with black paint

I have leather gloves here at home.
And I still have to find a white scarf. But I really lucked out today.

Oh and the shoes and trench are black not brown, but the styles are so perfect so it all fits together.

alteredcourse 10.21.2008 10:13 PM

Oh yes it all came to just over $40.

LittlePuppetBoy 10.21.2008 10:15 PM

I'm going as Steve Albini, as seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLr5EXyoQCE

alteredcourse 10.21.2008 10:17 PM

What is on his shirt?

I've gotta find a happy face pin too.

pbradley 10.21.2008 10:19 PM

I have no idea for a Halloween costume.

And I'm worried about that I might spend a lot and not do as much as I was expecting.

uhler 10.21.2008 10:23 PM

BLOOODD!!! Actually it's apparently red paint someone threw on him during the performance. But I'll just say it's blood (it sounds so badass!)

If you go as a priest, have your lady be a pregnant nun! Kegpapa and I did that one year, it was fun.

I'm going to be an evil/dark fairy, found some awesome new black & dark blue wings, all I need now is a cool wig. We are having a party again, we will take kids trick or treating and then have a party in the graveyard we made in front yard- complete with strobe light, scary music, fog machine, etc.

Crappy pic. Whatever.

shentov 10.22.2008 01:44 AM

that graveyard is awesome.
what i like most for americans is you guys all have houses.
well, most of you.

alteredcourse 10.22.2008 02:10 AM

Aye, thank you.
Cant believe how low that lil guy hangs his guitar.

pbradley 10.22.2008 02:26 AM

That's because Albini uses a guitar belt-like strap at the waist instead of a shoulder strap.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cRoyFMLUuY

Guess he has fragile shoulders.

shentov 10.22.2008 02:56 AM

thats a fancy trick. i watched it real close, the whole strapping process, before the Shellac show. its tricky though nice.

I'd like to dress as a barroque witch if I find a dress at a thriftstore. If not, a rave or cyber punk girl.
