|
i just have seen today hardest button to button video, which is nice.
i don't like them specially, though. but I'm ciurious about, what you think. |
Curious what we think about White Stripes eh?
|
They should hire a bass player.
And a new drummer. |

Asking me why not eh?

Responding with questions eh?

Eh?
|
Saying eh, is it?

i want to dislike them but they have one or two good numbers. my housemate has never even heard of them, seriously he does not even know the name. he likes offspring.
eh? |
Pointing out what I've just said in the form of a question eh?

I feel sorry for you, dude.:( |
Playing the same game you play with your best friend Chris Rea in the hope that, unlike Chris, no-one drives off in a very expensive huff, eh?

Interrupting the 'eh' game with pointless comments, eh? |
Yeah. What's the problem ?

De Stilj is currently in my car cd player. the cd player is reserved for when I'm too lazy to hook up myPod.
that said, I like listening to The White Stripes because they make me feel like an AWESOME drummer. dear gentle readers, please feel free to use this thread for Meg White porn image_dumps. |

Loved De Stilj, liked White Blood Cells, didn't bother after Elephant. Haven't listened to any of them in 2-3 years now.

They were my favorite band until Get Behind Me Satan.
After that I just wanted to kill myself. I still listen to "I Fought Piranhas" and De Stijl once in a while. |

I love their debut (blues with a punky edge, so many good riffs!) and De Stijl (Beatles-y). After those they just seemed too exposed - I'm going to find it difficult to listen to those albums after the James Bond theme - and Jack White is too gimmicky whatever he does (i.e., that shitty Led Zepplin-tribute band he's in), and has a whimsical, vaudeville-side that rubs me the wrong way... but their debut is awesome and I like the version of Jack The Ripper they do in concert.
|
I like some of their stuff. Jack's alright.
|
They've always had catchy singles but I've still always wanted to hate them because Jack White seems like such a fucking dildo...
However, I recently got a hold of the vinyl version of ICKY THUMP (for free) and really love the album, with the exception of maybe 3 songs. I'm considering checking out past work now (not SATAN though, because it seems to be universally bashed). |
yeh i enjoy them
have a good time listening to them damn now i get -2 indie points |
I like everything they've done. First LP is my favorite.
|
I don't mind them, but I don't have any of their albums. I remember when I went to a music store and I had a spare $10, and I was looking at albums by The White Stripes, Kaiser Chiefs, and some others, but I eventually got The Strokes' Is This It? That's the closest I've come to getting an album of theirs.
|
i personally can't get into their music. but i think they're fine...
|
meh
|
That's totally not meg white in the sex video. THe chick on the tape actually has rhythm.
|
When they got famous it was certainly weird because there were dozens of indie bands who sounded similar, but somehow they had the lucky lottery numbers. I've always found them fairly o.k., but couldn't figure out what the fuss was over. Still, I'd rather have them be the famous alternative band than Jesus Jones or the aforementioned Offspring. Doesn't make me buy their records though.
|
rather listen to shellac.
