i tried. i tried. i can't quit marlboro lights.

I already gave up weed (more or less) and coke (definitely) but I smoke a pack a day. fuck lungs and guilt.

what do you smoke?

I buy by the carton. $34.00 USD for 10 packs. individually, they would run past $4.50.

I'm stuck inhaling the second-hand smoke from assholes who don't give a shit about their awful, intrusive addiction.

i smoke up roll ups and the occasional Lucky Strike light at the week end that i share w/ my wife. She'ain't no regular smoker, but i am. It's cheap. i spend about 8 euros a week so that's not an issue but i grow more and more concerned about
1) my kid seeing me smoking (although we don't smoke in the house where he is)
2) my health

i can't quit. i'm a loser.

yeah, it's cheaper here in third-world. 2 dollars a pack.

my advice, you went the wrong direction. weed is the solution to your tobacco problem.

I smoked tobacco for a decade, and was considered the cigarette smoking man of my krew



I suggest you quit smoking tobacco gradually, over a process of two or three months, to adjust yourself to not being a smoker. first cut back, then stop buying them, then stop smoking them. get used to the experience over time, that whole cold turkey jump right into it shit doesn't work. I quit for a year and a half that way and it was ABSOLUTE HELL, everysingle fucking day of that time.

this second attempt as been far more successful, its been over a year, I have had ZERO desires to smoke tobacco, and I am free.

but herb is a blessing in this regard.

Interestingly, antismoking was a big deal with the Nazi's. During WW2 allied propaganda would show FDR, Stalin and Churchill all as puffing GOOD GUYS and then those evildoers Hitler and Mussolini who did not use tobacco BAD GUYS. When I could buy singles in VT or NH I had no problem moderating my intake to 2 cigs a day, but the State insists I buy a whole pack. It would be like if the State said you can't buy a glass of whiskey you have to buy the whole bottle.

But I recommend quitting cold turkey.

I smoke camels.. they have like "No. 9" on the package.. they have menthol. I only smoke about 3 cigarettes a WEEK.. only at work, only when I'm particularly stressed, they feel pretty smooth.

I like smoking but I dont' love it. In fact, it's kinda gross. But every now and then I enjoy a good fag. I buy like one pack every month and a half or two. It's too expensive and gross of a habit to be addicted to it, it is pretty nice every now and then though.

if the leadership did not smoke, nazis surely did. many many folks in concentration camps bribed their way around with the SS with cigarettes. Interesting how a drug can overpower an ideology. the SS would just as easily kill any of these people, and yet they bargain with them from behind barbed wire cuz the NAZIs only gave them a handful of cigarettes in their rations, and the jews had some to spare.

in new york state they about 7 a pack. 50 bucks a week for me. fuck.

Cigarrettes are 6 somethin' right by me. Camel Turkish Royal is the way to go. I can't quit because I like to have a smoke after I get a little weed in meh.

Only pot and only occasionally. My dentist hates it if i smoke, tells me every time, even though i haven't in years. I consider it a good idea not to piss off someone capable of creating so much pain if they wish!!

Plus, i can't stand the smell of tobacco smoke, it makes me pull faces.. and i really dig being fit and healthy enough to run around and swim without choking.

smokes are like 10 a pack here, like 80 a carton.. even before the exchange rate completely died. Death by cig is more expensive here by far. Does that make it more hard core?

I quit again, its been awhile actually... Just smoke when I drink now.

straight edge is not about anti sex. just anti casual sex. i had plenty of sex when i was straight edge. actually since "selling out" i have had less sex. also you don't have to be vegan to be straight edge.

to the topic... i still haven't smoked in my life. not even one puff and i don't have the desire to ever smoke. i have smoked weed, but never a cigarette.

in my eyes girls that smoke make them less attractive. i have dated a few girls that smoked and every time i would kiss them or smell them after they smoked i would wish they didn't smoke.
