why the world should vote in US presidential elections
This would be a super idea.
Since the US government feels the need to consistantly provide excessive input to other political states agendas and budget. Half of the US doesnt vote anyway, so its not like y'all give a shit about losing yr vote to someone else.. It is highly likely many foreign citizens have a better grasp on US foreign policy than US citizens do It is highly likely many foreign citizens have a better grasp on US policy than US citizens do |
no.

why not?
they want all the power, and to give all nations 'democracy' |

I'll do street polling and get back to you in 18months.
I will also accept marriage proposals from any american so I can then vote. |
this would invite so much chaos, baby

no, not at all. However as a whole you are represented by your government. The person the majority of americans have chosen to send to the inter-country sports and debating and council meetings for the last 8 years is a bully and a retard. |
omg, can you imagine the chad from the entire East Asia?? these people can't even find their way around LAX without getting lost, how the fuck are they supposed to know how to vote?
this would never work phoenix |
i hope mccain wins tomorrow so that he'll die and then sarah palin can become presidentess/presidette.
|
i think its disgusting that only 54% of America votes when it affects 100% of us.

who said anything about just europeans? I just believe that for the most part, non US citizens are more culturally and politically aware of their outside surroundings than US citizens. The concept of coexisting has been around for a lot longer in european states than it has in the americas. The americas dont have to coexist, the united states just hits people until it gets what it wants at the price it wants. And if it doesnt have anyone to hit then they hit themselves and have a civil war. |

plus the rest of the world. if it makes you mad that people don't vote, imagine how angry it makes those people in countries where, they not only cannot vote for their own leader, but also rely on another country electing a leader who does not want to blow up their country. How lost and hopeless you might feel. And angry at the apathy of the priviledged. |

get better military/economy? lol.... but seriously, i was sitting in the library on friday, and some guy was saying he waited 2 and a half hours, and he got there early... i'm guessing 4 hours for people in the afternoon... plus, that was early voting... and i don't wake up early |

what are you talking about? you mean intelligence has a bearing on whether someone should vote or not? surely then it should mean they should not be then allowed to be IN the drivers seat. oh wait. |

USians voted Bush in twice (well, once anyway). Say no more. Let intelligent people vote.

your government makes it this hard because your apathy means they can continue to rape the world without revolt. Its strange that a country that can apparently achieve so much cannot even successfully hold a ballot. |
Quote:
i'm not saying whether they should or shouldn't... i'm just saying if Florida has trouble, and its only half-hispanic, then inviting all of the other nations of the world is just not plausible |
Quote:
exactly! and do you know what, it means squat because if all of you don't get off your ass and be 'bothered' to stand in a line for ONE day out of FOUR YEARS, then it happens all over again. |
you can buy my vote phoenix.

You're becoming annoyingly assumptive on all fronts.
|
Quote:
that is so offensive I dont even know what to say. your freaking country was started by hispanics for fucks sake. |
Quote:
assumptive of what? people SHOULD get annoyed at this time of year, they should be SO annoyed by now that they are full of passion and wanting to make their country something amazing again. |
It doesn't matter who we vote for, if the powers that be didn't want Bush in office he would have been assassinated.
Who is more a fool, the puppet? or the puppet who thinks they have power to elect their puppet leader? Fuck. |

er, anyone who thinks they don't have the power to make a change in a democratic country. Again, the fact that there is apathy about feeling as though you don't have that choice or power any more, should be shocking, but its just so average thatit means nothing. Surely there is something wrong when not only do citizens feel they can't make a difference, they also feel this, and then don't care? |
Quote:
really? I find political debate far more interesting than religious, at least there is a point. Religion is about a man and his god. Politics is about a man and his neighbours. |

it appears the State can't handle the citizens actually voting...the Bush junta forcing the replacement of all "aged" "manual" machines across the country with the result-flipping e-machines - these are turning out to be a disaster for the citizens wanting accurate results, but easy for the fascists to manipulate results. hours on line waiting to vote is simply unacceptable. There is no reason the State can't get its act together. The US can kill thousands of children in the name of democracy but doesn't allow its citizens to vote. And that's the phoney contempofascist shit they pull "Oh sure, come vote at this time and date as required by the Constitution" but then when you go you can't actually vote for one reason or another or you are waiting around for hours or the cops greet you down the road to give you a seatbelt pamphlet etc etc in the end the animals come out and start lapping at the blood. |

it's not worth getting worked up over sweety. you see it from the oustide... as a single entity... there are a lot of people here, stay close to the people you like, and life is great, no matter what asshole sits in the white house. and honestly, if i were going to vote, i would likely vote republican anyway |
There is less apathy in this election than any election I have ever seen.
