DeadDiscoDildo 11.04.2008 11:14 PM

HIGHER TAXES FOR THE RICH!? FUCK! HOW WILL THEY AFFORD THEIR COUNTRY CLUBS NOW?

oh well, next time I get in a car wreck, I don't have to worry about going bankrupt if I get injured, because hell, I may have some fucking health insurance by then.

America will not become a Socialist state. Republicans are fucking idiots. The past 8 years said that already.

Hooray! common sense prevails, for once in my lifetime....

krastian 11.04.2008 11:17 PM

Yeah, any other time a canidate wants to give a tax break to the middle class it's like, "Well, fuck yeah."

It's basically a return to the Clinton tax plan.

This was pretty much a beat down.

best apology America ever made, its almost like the Democratic Party was trying to say, "we are sorry for saying silly things like segregation now segregation forever"

looks like Clinton can no longer claim to be america's first black president either...

SYRFox 11.04.2008 11:33 PM

I didn't want to, but I couldn't help but staying awake till 5:30am (right now) to see the progression of the election

uhler 11.04.2008 11:35 PM

yeah it's pretty exciting. all the polish people in my neighborhood wanted mccain to win and only 12 percent of brooklyn voted for mccain so i'm guessing it was all the people in my neighborhood.

krastian 11.04.2008 11:36 PM

Did you guys see all the people going nuts in front of the White House??

God bless America.

This Is Not Here 11.04.2008 11:47 PM

I was watching as he crossed the 270 mark, great to see history being made. I wish I was American right now to feel the true gravity of these events.

LifeDistortion 11.04.2008 11:51 PM

The first time in history the president wasn't a white man, if you as an American aren't proud of that fact, you need to look at yourself. Politicans are politicans, and we can be bitter and cold as shit all we want, but at least we are one step closer to saying that a president doesn't have to be a white man.

its a superficial victory, an enormous political band-aid of sorts. lets see what they give us over the next four years, after all, let us never forget that he is still one of they black or not, all rhetoric and campaign promises aside. America has long been enshrouded in a gilded facade of supposed democracy, liberty, freedom and progressive change, but hiding a seedy underbelly of discrimination, poverty and extreme corruption.

batreleaser 11.04.2008 11:56 PM

I had a shit day all in all, but how can a shit day be shit when we got those motherfuckers out of office and the most interesting and exciting candidate OF ALL TIME (its true, more so than even Kennedy) becomes President. Phenomenal, I feel lucky to have lived through this, despite the shit times we live in.

davenotdead 11.05.2008 12:00 AM

most interesting of all time? Tiger Woods is as black as this guy!

besides, Taft was a fucking baller.

Youth_Against_Facism 11.05.2008 12:02 AM

tw2113 11.05.2008 12:16 AM

I voted for him. now lets see those changes. Uphill battle ahead.

StevOK 11.05.2008 12:26 AM

This is one of the happiest moments of my life. Getting married was better, but everything else after that is a toss-up.

alteredcourse 11.05.2008 12:46 AM

That Obama sure is dashing.

ZEROpumpkins 11.05.2008 12:48 AM

Spread too much rep in the past 24 hours. You'll have to wait till tomorrow, guys.

DeadDiscoDildo 11.05.2008 12:52 AM

Emmah only came in for the free rep :-)

Yes, this is huge. I just wish the McCain supporters had the integrity and class of McCaine himself. Then we could get one step closer to the path of unity for this fucking country. But alas...

amerikangod 11.05.2008 01:00 AM

People in my neighborhood are in the streets screaming and cheering, cars are driving buy with their horns either held down or honked in quick succession. Currently, there are fireworks going off outside of my window.

DeadDiscoDildo 11.05.2008 01:07 AM

That's fucking awesome! Where do you live?

I can imagine that somewhere in a dark, secret control room, a bunch of manipulative, corrupt, even evil suits are smiling smugly and contently that the people believe in the system again...

Wow, really? None of them?

DeadDiscoDildo 11.05.2008 01:33 AM

Alot of my oldest friends do not like him either, mainly my other poor/artist/druggy/or intelligent friends that I've met over the past year or two like him though.

I am rather anti-establishment in general. The establishment created most of our problems, so how could the establishment fix them for us? or how could we ourselves fix our problems using the mechanisms of the establishment if it is precisely these mechanisms which fucked everything up?
