Fucking Metal Machine Music over Neil Young's two best albums?
ergh. |
SWELL MAPS?!!? I love them, but y'know, I can't recall any time anyone's ever mentioned them on here.
|
I can.
|
Well, I did a search and it brought up 48 threads (including this one). And none of the topics were very noteworthy, just "Reccomend an album" type stuff mostly. So it was easy to overlook.
|
I never voted, but seeing Robert Wyatt's 'Rock Bottom' in there is really nice. Had I voted I would've no doubt overlooked it, but a friendly hug to whoever it was that did. Nice one.
|
What a load of boring, predictable, SHIT records.
I'm reminded why I rarely talk music anymore with you turds. |
i voted for swell maps. i think number 7 or something.
|
yargh.. glad to see Neu and Can there.
i didn't vote cause im naff 'bout that period unknown pleasures.. mmm |

If we could just convince you to feel the same way about everything else the board would be a better place. |
hahaha
|
where is the fucking beefheart?
|
yeah, not a super exciting list
I don't think Sex Pistols should be anywhere on the list, but whatever. |

Yeah. Bat Chain Puller should have made it, though I'm not all too surprised it didn't. edit: Lick My Decals Off, Baby too. |
lick my decals better be in the top 6. i thought bat chain puller would have been around 30-40... man, i forgot to send in my list.
|

It really surprised you that the greatest musical genius of our generation was overlooked on this board? Well, here, have a Jesus!: ![]() |

tell me the story about how you saw nirvana in play in front of 5 people again! |
No James Brown? No Lynrd Skynrd? YOU CALL THAT A 70'S TOP 50?
For shame, sonic youth gossip. |
No Abba?!!?

If it were a thread asking about shows I was glad I saw, I probably would, but it isn't now is it? |

Agreed. Way too much white male guitar stuff. No reggae, hardly any funk or soul. Some gringos out there need to ask themselves if exploration of music is listening to noise or just listening to different types of music. Really. Might as well just call it a top 50 rock/pop records of the 70's. |
repped.
Remember folks... decay starts when growth stops. |
Oh, the irony.
|
Trust me, it's more ironic in an Alanis Morisette kind of way and not so much the pure definition of irony.
|
Trust me, it's not.
