Kick ass!
Ukranian Black Metal! I really enjoy most of this band's stuff. I like how they work in some folk melodies from Ukraine into the middle of brutal Black Metal action. They are definitely of the pro-white persuasion, if that is something you care about one way or the other. Makes little difference to me what their personal politics are; I really enjoy this music. Thank you. |
The whole compilation is full of delights. No i don't give a shit about what they think, one way or another. The music is great. What about the label?
|
Not a label I am overly familiar with.
Maybe Everyneurotic can take this question. |
Funny thing about the track that i have upped is that it's meant to be a REMIX!What are these people injecting?hehe.
|
i did some black metal mixes recently, too bad i don't have them on my hard drive anymore or i'd re-upload them for you.
|
man, some of the best bm is national socialist, wigrid fucking rules and they record for fucking no colors; i don't really care about their beliefs, i limit myself to the music, besides, you can't make out what they are saying anyway. i don't buy bm records though.
the end is a medium sized indie metal label out of germany, i think, i'm not sure where are they based, but they have a u.s. branch. they distribute some and they have a mail order online store called omega which stocks mainly the heavy shit but also has some noise and indie stuff. bands that have released stuff thru them are the gathering, sigh, dissection, enslaved, darkthrone, ihsahn from emperor's opera band peccatum, voivod, ulver, winds, arcturus. here's the website: www.theendrecords.com thanks porky, i've never heard nokturnal mortum; i basically stopped persuing black metal for little while, might go back to explore the deep end again. |
These guys are fuckin nazi!!!!!
god damned NSBM! stop listening to this bullshit RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!! |

I don't see why really. For all I know, none of us could ever relate to the views of these people and as far buying their albums is concerned, I doubt the income from the records is actually large enough for them to build a new third reich. Whether their music is heard by people or not probably wont change their opinions. |

it's a matter of opinion. but for me, anyone with opinions like that is a scumbag, no matter if it's Nokturnal Mortum of Beethoven. |

just for information, here's a list of some more known NSBM bands worldwide:
Poland - Capricornus, Gontyna Kry, Infernum, Graveland/Lord Wind/Thor´s Hammer, Swastyka, Thunderbolt, Lssah, Fullmoon, Veles, USA - Grom, Before God, Vagrant The Noachian, Pantheon, Australia - Abyssic Hate, Spear of Longinus, Anwariad, Destroyer 666, Ukraine - Nokturnal Mortum/Mistigo Varggoth Darkestra, Sokyra Peruna, Germany - Absurd, Aryan Blood, Barad Dur, Russia - Kolovrat, Temnozor, France - Kristallnacht, Osculum Infame, Italy - Ars Occulta, Mors Summa, Great Britain - Eye of Odin (ex-Squadron), Spain - Nazgul Greece - Der Sturmer give 'em the boot if you see them on the street somewhere |
Capricornus:
Saw them at the Underworld a few years ago and they were top notch(and that included the pre-gig music that they put on the through the speakers) |

Where did you read this? I thought Abyssic Hate didn't have a racist agenda, he just hated all the human race in general. He did release music on No Colours though. |
I'm not sure if finland's Satanic Warmaster has any nsbm ideology, but it's possible I suppose.
What about Blut Aus Nord or Haemoth? I heard france has a vital scene of nsbm bands, but I don't know if that's true. |
I got that list out of some black metal fansite, so it might be incomplete
|
from what i've read it's only a handful of bands who are genuinely NSBM, but the impression i get is that thanks to burzum being nsbm the whole genre gets tarred with that brush. also i think genuine nazi's are a bit weirded out by the BM scene, they see it as being a bit idiotic and they would rather not be associated with it, so nsbm is so marginal as to be entirely insignificant.
|
yes burzum was deeply into this shit too.
|
Graveland are one of my very favorite bands.
Slavo, if we had to take into account the personal politics of every artist we wanted to enjoy, we would get to enjoy very little of the fine art and music in this world. David Smith was an alcoholic wifebeater; does that make his sculpture any less amazing? I think not. The music of these NSBM bands is not "Pro-white message music" like Skrewdriver or something of that nature. They limit that kind of thing to interviews for the most part, and those interviews are damn entertaining. To suggest that listening to their music is supporting their personal agenda is ridiculous. We are thinking adults who can make up our own minds. The fact that I like Burzum, Gontyna Kry, Graveland, Nokturnal Mortum, etc, does not automatically make me supportive of their personal agendas. To suggest that it does is condescending at best. Yeesh. |

deathspell omega or mutiilation may have some nsbm connections, but i can't remember what it was i saw thatmakes me think that... both bands are musically ace though |
Has anyone ever hearD the album that Merzbow and Russell Haswell did together and wich had loads of black metal influences in it?That is when Merzbow finally said something to me that i couldn't possibly hear before.
|
whatever, I don't wanna offend.
i just don't like hater attitude towards anyone. that's it fullstop |
I understand.
|
it is incomplete, burzum is missing.
most nsbm are more talk than anything really, just using the symbols and speech to inspire fear and shock value, you have people like varg vikernes or the idiots in absurd changing their beliefs in order to find a reaction from the public; plus, if you come out of nowhere saying you are neo nazi, then there's a whole contingent of people, especially in europe, ready to back the band up and buy their records and have an audience, regardless of how bad the band can be. very few nsbm bands have paramilitary ties or are politically active. there's a lot of bands i don't agree with ideologically (like some hippie bands, for example) but who i do enjoy musically, and i have said, i don't buy bm records out of principle mainly, but i do download them. i like nokturnal mortum, they remind me of early satyricon, only with eastern european folklorick influences replacing the medieval tones. and cathedral are way cool, their last album was ok, i guess, but the etheral mirror? masterpiece! by the way: anyone care to listen to wigrid? they are similar to burzum and their last album is supe.rb |
The british bloke left his bumbing project unfinished. Here's one more.
Nokturnal mortum were supposed play here couple of years ago, but I didn't hear word of them after reading about that. Still haven't heard them, but would've attended to that gig if it indeed had happened back then. |
is no colours an nsbm label or have they just put out records by a few nsbm bands?
|
i think they are not nsbm but deal with tons of those kinds of bands.
they have tons of unpolitical bands in their roster and are somewhat well distributed. |
This thread made me want to pick up Cathedral's 'The Ethereal Mirror' again, and remember how superb the playing is on it, especially 'Fountain Of Innocence', which is a standout song.
