how do you fix a bad sleep pattern?
Since I've been on holiday I can't help but stay up till 5am and not wake up till 3pm. Is there anyway to fixxx this that doesn't involve staying up all night? (I can't do that.)

sleep aids
|
melatonin.
|
Pills.
|
Basically, if you can't force yourself to stay awake then you have to force yourself to go to sleep. You have to reset that circadian rhythm some how.
|
just dont sleep till three.
sleep till 10 am. five hours of sleep is enough to function. and you will be tired by midnight |
I don't take any pills or anything so that option is out the window.
And yeah, I think I like your idea best fugazifan, thanks. |
no pills?
cuz Half of a Tylenol pm one time should do the trick. |
don't spend all day staring at your computer screen

I started a thread about this problem a few months ago and found this technique to be the best. |
don't spend all day couped up, go out and get some fresh air
|
on a week day civilised people get up between 7am and 8am
|
If you are the type that CAN'T run on 5 hours, just go to bed an hour earlier every night. After 5 days, you can go to bed at midnight. Worked for me.
Even then though, wouldn't you be getting up at 10? 5 hours may be too little, but 10 is definately too much. Overresting your body can be as exhausting as under resting, so after you get your first problem knocked out, try and work on cutting down the amount of hours you sleep. |
Just jack off a few times, you'll be good.

what's the problem???... |
Well when school comes around I'll be pretty much fucked.
|
it takes at least 3 days to gte back on normal sleep cycle.
3 days befor school starts take some melatonin, and sleep 8-9 hours. then do it again the next day to get used to it. |
just skip one night completely

I think that will only cause further sleep problems don't you? |

Exactly. And for the record, Tylenol PM's are not drugs and they work pretty good. Anything you can buy over the counter should not count as a narcotic. |
I don't think you can get Tylenol PM's in the UK... maybe you can I don't know.

People who yawn a lot are weird. It's like, "Hey buddy! Get some oxygen to your brain!"
|
Oh yeah, I'm finally working on the new UUUUUU atsonic... it'll be more like an ambient album for a beach considering Summer's coming in.
|
Don't sleep, then sleep after you haven't slept.
|
Yeah whenever I've stayed-up until 5am or something after going to a gig/club, I wake as normal at 9am (four-hours later) and get through the rest of the day until 10pm when I fall alseep. I usually feel fine after four-hours asleep, it's only later that evening when it hits you - which is good if you want to return to normal.

You're "finally" working on it? You've already released 3 things in a month. Hahahaha. (so says the guy who has already had ELEVEN Robe. albums released this year, I know, I know, but some of those albums had been awaiting release for three years!) Luckily, everything you've done has been great! So I can't wait. Hey, you could do an album for every season. |
Well I've not been working on any UUUUUU music for the past month or two because I've mainly not been interested in drone/ambient. I dunno, I want to sort of stray off into another style but I don't know what yet. I think this may be my last UUUUUU release even... or until I get into ambient/drone again when winter comes.
|
Good thing it's always snowing in my head.
|
I'd force myself to wake up earlier. I forced myself wake up early this morning (5:00 AM) because something was on television. All it took was an alarm clock and a listen to a Burzum album the night before.
