that depends on whether the ham is dry cured or wet cured.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.01.2009 01:06 PM

Or kosher, for that matter.

Glice 05.01.2009 01:16 PM

What is it about Americans that leads them to not be able to grasp the concept of comedy?

I mean, apart from the fact that Americans produce better comedy. I don't understand how the country that produced Curb and the Simpsons also made you two 'tards.

jon boy 05.01.2009 01:18 PM

i wouldnt say they produce better comedy. they due produce some very good shows, they also produce two and a half men and joey. tards indeed.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.01.2009 01:18 PM

I got the joke.
But if they were kosher, it wouldn't be nearly as humorous.

Kloriel 05.01.2009 01:19 PM

what the fuck i thought this was about cool advertisements on the tele.

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.01.2009 01:21 PM

As an American, I feel that Encino Man is much funnier.

kosher ham, yeah, i patented that. but there's the issue of SPLATTER, which is what really makes things "amazing". nothing amazing about a dry ham. NOTHING. i don't care if rabbis are involved.

i suspect glice might be a bit slower than he's led us to believe.

Glice 05.01.2009 01:37 PM

The point was, are you adding to a gag or over-analysing it? It's the same thing as how America institutionally misunderstands Freud, Lacan and Derrida (not to mention Jameson and Lyotard). Some things you can do well; some things you can't.

Anyway...

Dr. Eugene Felikson 05.01.2009 01:39 PM

I've always gotten the hint that he was illiterate.

Glice 05.01.2009 02:09 PM

That's 'ill', meaning good, and 'literate', meaning literate.

!@#$%! 05.01.2009 02:15 PM

or maybe he's obsessed with religion to the exclusion of everything else.

sight, sound, smell, texture, the wild eruption of imagination, all dwarfed by a silly god.

I've always gotten the hint that glice was good literate.

I strongly suspect that all good American comedies are secretly written by a bloke called Ian from Bishop Stortford.

Glice 05.01.2009 05:07 PM

You very nearly named a hamlet that I lived in for a very brief period. I didn't realise there were other 'Bishop ___'s in the world. Ace.
